It appears there are known incompatibly issues when copying data from online Spreadsheet apps into Publisher tables causing the issue you're seeing Anto, from the below thread, this user found that both Google Sheets and Excel 365 online pasted the full results into a singular cell, rather than retaining the table layout -
This would indicate that online services, such as Google Sheets and Excel 365 online are unable to copy the required formatting to the clipboard, in order to retain individual cell data.
In the case of using an online spreadsheet application, I'd recommend exporting in a format that can be opened by a 'local' editor (such as .xlsx, TSV) which can then be copied and pasted into Affinity directly.
However, this isn't directly the issue that the OP was reporting, simply a mistake I had made in trying Google Sheets before installing Libre Calc

Currently, regular expressions don't work directly in styles (if that's what you mean), so you have to use them through find/replace. GREP was asked to be integrated into styles so that it works by default. Maybe one day this will happen.
First, you type normally as you always do, and then you can use a regular expression to change the case of the letters.

If you want to replace all capital letters with lowercase letters at the beginning of a sentence, use a regular expression:

Ah, I think I might understand it a little better now.
One thing you can do is to select all of the pieces and then apply an Outline Effect (aligned to the Inside) with a Negation Blend Mode.
I don’t know if this will work in every case but it works when I tried it – see attached image.

I was able to open this file with Vectorstyles, then exported to pdf and imported to Designer.
My Designer also didn't want to open the svg, and also the svg created by Vectorstyler.

Looking at the right-click menu on a layer, say, a table or a rectangle, etc., the options Expand Selection, Collapse Selection, Collapse all Parent should be grayed out and inactive, as well as Release, Ungroup, Show Others. They work only with groups.
 

Workaround: create an object with its transform origin at the wanted position. -> Then use snapping to to get the origin of the wanted object there, too.
