Could you explain to us what is happening when we edit a RAW file in the Affinity extension and then save back to Photos? It looks like Affinity is editing the RAW when you're in the extension, but then it seems to leave a JPG in Photos when you save. The only way to get back to the RAW file seems to be to discard the JPG by reverting to original. If I choose to apply additional edits in other extensions then it seems each extension will run additional compression on the JPG's, not something I generally like to do.
I was hoping extensions in Photos would save edits to RAW file sidecars, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Are there any plans to save non-destructive edits back to the RAW files in Photos? Seems like saving to JPG means there will be some degradation of quality with each additional edit in an extension. Is there no way to save TIFF's instead?
