  1. It is a minor thing, but would be very handy. Example: if you're trying to find a shortcut to customize but you are not sure of what section it is in, or the exact name, you could quickly search for a few terms that you believe the function could be named in order to find it. A lot of other professional software has this functionality. For personas to be considered, it could be a general search, which shows all shortcuts, but with an additional column to show which persona they are a part of. This way you could search for a function, have all of its shortcuts for each persona appear, and quickly assign the shortcuts for all personas at once, instead of navigating to the relevant persona from the drop down each time, then finding each one in the list.
  2. Glad to see layer states come to Publisher in 2.4 as it is a very useful feature. However, it if very frustrating that they cannot be renamed or reordered. I always must delete them and make a new one to edit the name. Editing the order would also simply be good for organisation. This functionality exists in layers (duh), and swatches, so surely it can be added to layer states relatively easily. I can't think of any reason as to why it shouldn't be added.
  3. Any update to this getting fixed? It is still broken in the latest beta for Publisher. Basic functionality (Selecting objects) of the software is not working correctly. It very frustrating. I'm no professional developer but it doesn't seem like it would be that difficult of a fix as it is 100% replicable, to me it seems like a toggle was missed for the condition of cropped objects being selected on intersection when 'select on intersection with marquee' is enabled.
  4. In Publisher (latest beta and latest full release), in a facing pages document, with "Select object when intersects with selection marquee" checked in the tools settings, the selection marquee will not select any objects on intersection that have been cropped with the vector crop tool. I have tested it on curves, frame text, artistic text, and images. I have been able to replicate it 100% consistently with the criteria described above. More information: It will ONLY occur on a facing pages document. Any objects that have NOT been cropped with the vector crop tool will select fine on intersection. If objects are cropped by placing them inside curves or within a picture frame, it won't occur (the objects will be selected on intersection). The cropped objects can still be selected by surrounding them completely with the marquee, or by clicking on them directly, just not on intersection with the marquee. It occurs in all three personas: Publisher, Designer, and Photo. It occurs in all documents including new documents. I'm using windows 11 version 22H2. Will occur with hardware acceleration on or off. This seems like a minor issue but it becomes extremely frustrating when for example, I am working on a large document with many pages full of images, and I would like to select a bunch of images to move them to another page, I drag the marquee to intersect them all and the ones that have been cropped are left behind when I move the selection group as they were never selected. So many times I have had to undo and then select them one at a time manually by clicking on each, as completely surrounding them with the marquee would intersect and select adjacent text or other objects that I do not wish to move. Earlier I wasn't sure if this was a bug or if I had missed something, so I made a forums post, linked here: Screen recording is also attached. Marquee Intersect Selection Issue.mp4
  5. I have successfully replicated it consistently and the circumstances in which it occurs are odd. It will only happen in Publisher (latest beta as well as the latest official release), and ONLY if the document is set up to include facing pages. It will occur in all three personas (Publisher, Designer, and Photo). It will only occur with images cropped via the vector crop tool. Screen recording attached. Marquee Intersect Selection Issue.mp4
  6. I have enabled "Select object when intersects with selection marquee" in the tools settings as that is what I am used to from illustrator. It works for everything except cropped images. If I place the image in a shape to crop it it will still select on intersection, but if I have cropped the image with the vector crop tool, I must completely surround the image with the selection marquee or it will not be selected, even with the "select on intersection" setting turned on. Not sure if this is intended but I don't see any reason as to why if it is intended as it is very annoying. For example if I want to select a whole area of content including some cropped images to move them, everything will select apart from the cropped images and when I go to move them they will be left behind which is so frustrating, especially considering with a whole page of images I cannot remember which were cropped and which were not. I imagine it would be a super easy fix so would love to see it fixed in one of the upcoming beta's for designer and publisher.
