  1. Hey Leigh,

I've done some messing around and I've noticed it's actually not so much of an issue. After making the selection, one can go into Selection> Refine edges and tweak the options in there. It takes some fine tuning, but is helped a lot by the live mask preview. It gives all the control one needs, and more, despite not being as quick' as an antialias button. In a way it's even better!

Glad to hear that you've found a better way of doing it :)

    Merry Christmas Morty!

Hehe. Hoping season 3 isn't too far away :) Hope you had a great Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

  2. Sorry for the length of time getting back to you. It's been real busy with the launch of the update and Christmas.

Anyhow, the samples shown in my original post were downloaded from Wikipedia. However, you can create a similar mask by creating a layer and selecting an individual part of the image and fill with black, white, grey or a gradient fill, depending on the effect your want. You will repeat this for all objects within the image. Once you've selected all objects, you will then merge them together and Rasterise to a Mask. This is a very brief explanation, so if you need more info let me know :)

It's not possible to change the focus colour from White to Grey.

  3. Welcome to the forums L C :)

There's an Edit With option in Capture One that allows you to take images from Capture One and edit them in another app. I don't think it's working correctly with Affinity Photo when using TIFF. More information can be found here. However, if you use JPG it should work - I just tested the trial version and it worked.

I know a lot of users on this forum use CO, hopefully they will pop in and share their experiences with you :)
