Can you try installing the App Installer from here to see if that helps!
-
Might be worth trying to search for the App Installer app in the Microsoft Store app. It will tell you if it's installed or not.
-
@VectorWhiz What happens if you try and open the app from the Start menu, do you get the same error? Just read the updated post. Did you change permissions on the WindowsApps folder before trying to the launch V2 for the first time?
-
@clandestineWhat's happening when you try and install the MSIX files? Have you read the troubleshooting FAQ?
-
@eddyvivIf you've not already read this FAQ, please do so. It explains the developers decision to go with MSIX. Have you still been unable to install the app?

I can only suggest that you read Mark's post here:

Glad that worked - thanks for letting me know @gmazon Nice one @AiDon

Thanks for this information - will look into this further.

This isn't happening for everyone but the users that have had this issue were able to resolve it by using the PowerShell method listed here:
-
Good suggestion - let me know if that works @gmazon

Affinity V2 now uses MSIX which installs the apps into a specific folder - this can not be changed, sorry. Did you change the permissions on the WindowsApps folder to try and find the .exe for use in a third party app like Lightroom?

If you're getting the message "Sideloading is blocked by policy. Contact your administrator to allow you to install apps from anywhere." when trying to install Affinity V2 apps, please go to Settings > Apps > Advanced App Settings and select Anywhere from the Choose where to get apps dropdown. Once you have done this, please try installing Affinity V2 again. Please Note: This option can also be controlled by Group Policy, so if your machine is managed by an administrator please contact them. If you're using a personal machine and you're the administrator you can read the Group Policy section from this Microsoft Article to see if the resolves your issue.
