  1. Try the following: 1. Create some text without sub/superscript. With the text selected go to Edit > Defaults > Synchronize defaults from selection. 2. Now create another text object with sub/superscript applied. 3. Deselect object and go to Edit > Defaults > Revert defaults. 4. Now create another text object - the sub/superscript should no longer be applied. This is also possible by clicking the Synchronize defaults from selection & Revert Defaults buttons on the toolbar:
  2. Welcome to the forums gjacob :) It's not possible to export to SVG with linked images at the moment. Our developers will be improving SVG support over time but feel free to start a new thread in the Feature Request section asking for this feature to be considered :)
  3. Welcome to the forums boothgolf :) Support for DXF or DWG files could be added in the future. Have you tried exporting your document from AutoCAD as an EPS file to see if that works better? Is it possible to attach a sample PDF file for us to look at?
  4. Welcome to the forums jjeff :) Adobe's AI format is a private so it's not possible for us to export to .AI. We can only read .AI files that contain a PDF stream. Have you tried exporting your document to .PDF?
  5. I've sent you a PM with a link to a file. Go to Library/ColorSync/Profiles and backup the ProPhoto.icc profile somewhere safe and then delete it. Once deleted, copy the file i've sent you to Library/ColorSync/Profiles. Does the profile now show in Affinity Photo?
  6. I've just quickly tried this using some basic adjustments in CaptureOne and the image looks the same in both Affinity Photo and CaptureOne. Just to confirm, when you don't apply any adjustments in CaptureOne and then Edit in Affinity Photo the images look the same? I will continue to try and replicate using Sharpening and Noise Reduction.
  7. A workaround would be to go to View > Customise Tools... at the bottom change Number of Columns to 2 and click Close. You will now have access to a Colour Chooser icon. If you double click this you will see the colour for any selected objects, including objects with a Global Colour :)
  8. Do the colours look OK when previewed in Acrobat? Using Acrobat you can check to see if the correct colour profile is being used in the PDF. Which one are you using?
  9. Welcome to the forums stairman :) Affinity Designer doesn't have an option for tiling but it could come in the future. I would export your poster to PDF and then use Adobe Reader to print your poster. This has options to manage Tile Scale and Overlap.
  10. Hi Tristan, I'm not aware of any issues with our apps and 5K iMacs. Are you getting the same performance in other apps or just Affinity apps? Do you get the same choppy scrolling etc in the latest beta builds?
  11. You're correct, it's only possible by entering the DPI. Feel free to start a new thread in the Feature Request section asking for this functionality to be added.
  12. The only workaround I can find is what you've already suggested. I know it's not working the way you would like it to but please feel free to post your suggestion in our Feature Request section.
  13. Welcome to the forums jollypike :) The following post from MEB explains what could be causing the increase in file size: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/13747-affinity-designer-large-file-size/?p=60781
  14. This only applies to a single individual. Apples states the following here: If you are an individual acting in your personal capacity, you may download and use an application from the Mac App Store (“Mac App Store Product”) for personal, non-commercial use on any Apple-branded products running Mac OS X (“Mac Computer”) that you own or control. Lorraine, will your two users be using it for personal or commercial use?
  15. What your seeing is correct. One of our developers, Andy, explains more here.
  16. Yea, you're correct - I wasn't on the ball. I'm getting the same results. I will continue to play.
  17. To set a ICC profile when printing go to File > Print and click Show Details. Select Color Matching and then ColorSync. You can now select the relevant colour profile. Perfect Photo Suite 9 doesn't support Affinity Photo at the moment :(
  18. I take it you're using Affinity Photo. How did you create the text on the curve?
  19. Hey and welcome to the forum :) As long as you don't use Affinity branding in your videos and you make sure users are fully aware that you're channel is not affiliated with Affinity in any way then you should be fine.
  20. Hi roadfun, welcome to the forum :) The cycle orientation issue has been mentioned before and has been logged with our developers here. If you use Custom Ratio the aspect ration should be locked.
  21. You could create a new document set to 192 x 192 pixels @ 72 dpi. Add a rectangle to the page that fills the document and then apply a 4px stroke making sure Align Stroke to Inside is selected in the Stoke Panel.
  22. Have you tried going to Document > Resize Document and changing the DPI to 300 before exporting? This should work.
  23. Have you tried switching the RAW Engine to Apple ( Core Image Raw ) in the Develop Assistant? This may give you the results you're looking for.
