  1. The thing to remember is that the Colour Replacement Brush Tool only replaces the colour's hue of the pixels in the base image. The foreground colour that you've selected will appear different when used on the base image because the Luminance and Saturation of the base image is retained. We don't have one at the moment but I will pass your comments to the team responsible for our tutorials/video tutorials to see if it's possible in the future.

Here's a quick video of me using the tool: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6f775z6yg1be080/Colour%20Replacement%20Brush%20Tool.mov?dl=0

  2. It's more than just the preferences. All of my presets disappeared after I switched from Beta 1.4.1 to MAS 1.4.1. It took quite awhile to restore them and I don't have that many of them yet. It will be interesting to see if the next Beta will pick up the pref/presets from the current MAS. If not, it's going to be incredibly tedious updating these things with every iteration of the program. I'd like to know if there's any way to avoid this.

It's only possible to back up settings such as Styles, Brushes and Keyboard shortcuts at the moment. The ability to save preferences & workspace settings have been requested before and I'm sure it will be added in the future.

  3. Hey,

I'm having the same problem. I get this error message like every other day. Seems to happen when Affinity Photo has been open for a while. It doesn't matter where I'm exporting to. I only export JPEGs so I can't say if it happens with other file formats.

Quitting the program an opening it again solves the problem for me but of course that isn't really a solution.

Are you still getting the error in the latest version, 1.4.1, from the Mac App Store?

  4. Try the following:

    1. Create some text without sub/superscript. With the text selected go to Edit > Defaults > Synchronize defaults from selection.

    2. Now create another text object with sub/superscript applied.

    3. Deselect object and go to Edit > Defaults > Revert defaults.

    4. Now create another text object - the sub/superscript should no longer be applied.

This is also possible by clicking the Synchronize defaults from selection & Revert Defaults buttons on the toolbar:
