  1. I can see the issue you're having. We do have plans to add Bleed Area Guides in the future so I assume this should hopefully fix this issue. A workaround I've used is to use the Transform Panel and increase the Width and Height of the art board to include the bleed measurement, rasterise the image and then take away the bleed measurement. Sounds like a faff but if you have a 3mm bleed you can just add +6 to the H & W measurements and press enter. Raster and Bleed.mov
  2. Welcome to the forums cecchiniffpm! It is possible to attach a copy of your logo to this thread so that we can advise which app to use :)
  3. Welcome to the forums Stef :) When you export a swatch from AI you're told that gradients, patterns, or tints are not exchangeable. You could create several objects each containing a gradient and copy & paste them into AD then save the gradients to the Swatches Panel.
  4. Welcome to the forums benspo :) It's not possible to live edit placed images without opening them in another Window. This has been mentioned before in our Feature Request section here. It could happen in the future, never say never :) Your EPS file is opening fine in other apps and the text strings remain grouped. I will log this with our developers to see what's happening.
  5. Welcome to the forums waffl :D It's possible to setup a 12 column grid from scratch but it would be easier to find a PSD template with the required grid setup and open it in Affinity Designer for editing. Affinity Designer doesn't have Masterpages yet. Perhaps symbols is what you need - they should be coming soon :) Text Styles are coming. They're on our roadmap and will be available in the future: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/842-affinity-designer-feature-roadmap/ It's not currently possible to hide overflowing text. You could add a clipping mask to the text layer to hide overflowing text or just delete text that isn't needed. If you draw a shape, select it and then select the Gradient Tool, you can select Bitmap from the Type dropdown in the Context Toolbar. This option will allow you to select an image. You can also drag the nodes to stretch the image. There's also an Extend dropdown in the Context Toolbar that will give you options such as Mirror, Repeat, Wrap & Zero. Hope this helps!
  6. Hi PixelPest ;) You're not doing anything wrong. It's an issue with closed shapes and brushes - it's a known issue and is with our development team. A workaround would be to break the curve and manually adjust to remove the gap.
  7. The blend mode in a Live Adjustment Layer changes how the pixels applied with the filter interact with pixels in the layer below. When a layer is using a blend mode from the Layers Panel drop down it will affect how the layer's pixels or contents blend with pixels in the layer below. Hope this makes sense!
  8. You can save any custom Gradients to the Gradient Swatch in the Swatches Panel. Once you've added your Exposure Adjustment Layer you can go to the Swatches Panel and select a saved or recently used Gradient without having to go select the Gradient Tool.
  9. Welcome to the forums anitaccc :D Due to an error on the Mac App Store the sale ended earlier than expected. However, we extended the sale by an extra day for people who missed out. It's not possible for us to give refunds or partial refunds through the Mac App Store as it's all handled by Apple, sorry. If you want to contact us directly you can email us at: affinity@serif.com
  10. Before applying the adjustment you can select parts of the image that you want to adjust with the Selection Brush or Quick Mask. You then select the Shadows/Highlights Adjustment Layer and adjust the settings to get the required effect.
  11. Without seeing your image it's hard to see what you're working with but you could try adding another Mask to the Adjustment Layer and apply the Gradient tool to it.
  12. Welcome to the forums chriscx500 :) If you open the RAW file directly in Affinity Photo, does it show?
  13. Welcome to the forums Gonza16 :) Thanks for buying Affinity Photo :D You could start with our For Beginners video tutorial. I would then go through this list: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/10119-in-house-affinity-photo-video-tutorials/ Hope this helps!
  14. Affinity Photo doesn't have the same menu option as Designer but it is possible by selecting the Text Frame Tool and clicking in the shape :) Oh, and welcome to the forum :D
  15. Welcome to the forums thegoodkind :) Not getting that here with my tablet. Is it possible to record your screen showing this?
  16. Any vectors that use Adjustment Layers will be rasterised when printed. What is the DPI of your document? If you make it 300 DPI does it print any better?
  17. Welcome to the forums GKB :) There's a Channel Mixer Adjustment available within Affinity Photo from Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Channel Mixer Adjustment. Hope this helps!
  18. I'm no Photographer but I think just adjusting the White Balance within the Develop Persona will make a huge improvement. You could also use the Haze Removal Filter and Unsharp Mask filters on the image. The "Pro" image looks like it was taken on a sunny day. Your image also seems over exposed too. I'm sure other users will give you better advice :)
  19. It's not possible at the moment but it's something our developers plan to add a later date.
  20. Welcome to the forums Alice Jones :) Affinity Photo does not automatically apply any noise reduction to images when opened in the Develop Persona. This video should help: https://vimeo.com/135040640
  21. Hi Merciful, welcome to the forums :) I've just tested a RAW file from a Sony RX1R-2 and it opened fine :)
  22. Welcome to the forums tobygriffin :) Affinity Designer doesn't handle colour management when printing. This is all done in the Print window. You need to click Show Details > Color Matching > ColorSync.
