We often get questions from customers who are creating designs in Affinity Designer to be used with a Cricut cutting machine. As long as your document is setup correctly in Affinity Designer it should import into the Cricut Design Space app without any issues: Make sure your document is set 72 DPI The Cricut Design Space app will take all layers within your document and reorder them before cutting to prevent material wastage. If your design has multiple Curve Layers but you want to retain the layout of your document, you will need to merge all the separate Curve Layers into one Curve Layer. Select all the Curve Layers and go to Layer > Geometry > Merge Curves The Cricut Design Space app will push all layers within your document to the edge of the material when cutting. Again, this is to prevent material wastage. If you would like to add padding around your document, you can add a Rectangle Layer around your Curve Layers before merging all Curves into one layer We advise that you export to SVG, being sure to uncheck SetViewBox (under the 'More...' options) to ensure the correct size of the design is retained. If you've done all of the above and your design doesn't look correct when opened into the Cricut Design Space app, we suggest that you open the exported SVG into another app to see if it looks as expected. If it looks fine, this would indicate an issue with the Cricut Design Space app and we would suggest that you contact Cricut's support team to look into your issue further.

Our 1.7.3 updates have been out since Sept, 2019 and we've had no other reports of this happening. It appears to be a common issue on Windows 10 and this thread on the Microsoft Community has some suggestions to try: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-explorer-folders-and-files-have-missing/f9394940-ad50-4966-bc18-2a20db14be0c -

Josie, Patrick has already given you an answer to this question: "Just Google copyright free art and check the terms and conditions carefully about selling the art. Most artists don't allow reselling. You could always ask to license the artworks and sell with the artists approval." Why not head over to a forum that's dedicated to artists and artwork such as https://forum.deviantart.com/. I'm sure they'll know the best places to find such artwork but if you're reselling artwork you will need to be prepared to pay for artwork. Artists have bills to pay too -
If you purchased your Affinity app through the Mac App Store you may see the error Failed to Open File when trying open a document into the app. You may also get the error Failed to Save Document when trying to save or export a document from the app. You may also notice the app taking several minutes to load. This issue is caused by using a Font Manager to activate a large amount of fonts and Sandboxing. Any app purchased through the Mac App Store will be Sandboxed. Sandboxed apps are designed to prevent unrestricted access to user data and system resources. It also limits the amount of files/resources a Sandboxed app can open within the app. If you're using a Font Management app and you have a large amount of Fonts activated, 2,000 or more, and they're not stored in one of the below default macOS Font Locations, you may experience the issues mentioned above: Library > Fonts System > Library > Fonts Users > {Username} > Library > Fonts If you suspect that you're having this issue, open the Console app and then open the Affinity app and look for any errors similar to: Sandbox: Affinity Designe(1637) deny(1) file-read-data /Users/{Username}/Desktop/Font Cache/{Fontname}.ttf To get around this issue, please deactivate any fonts that are not needed or try moving your fonts to one of the default macOS Font Locations specified above.

Thanks for the info venti. I can see the issue and AFAIK there's no way around this using our apps without the need of manually tweaking the paths after converting to curves. I could also replicate the issue using the CNC Vector font and other vector apps too. Inkscape has a plugin called Centerline Trace that i've seen recommended by other users - not sure it works but you could perhaps see if that improves things.
