    Hi Leigh,

I'm also looking for silent install parameters including license code/activation. How come they can not be provided publicly?

    Regards jFMd

    Welcome to the forum :)

Our apps just use the standard silent install switches but you can only create an .msi file if you have a Product Key for the purchased version. The deployment guide is intended for multi user environments.

i keep running into the same problem and had tried all the solution that been given through the FAQ,

designer running properly, but when i tried to install photo, there is no photo.exe file on it, so the shortcut gives a missing exe sign so it can't be open.

i tried install using local account but it is the same. then i tried to repair the file but the setup failed.

btw i did reboot and tried using safe mode, but the setup instantly failed without processing unlike before. so what should i do?

i think the only problem is the missing file photo.exe since all other file seems to be okay.

If you could attach a copy of your setup log file to this thread we will be able to look into this further for you.

    Hello Leigh,

thank you for feedback, but I found a solution to my problem yesterday.

I have requested a refund from You and decided to buy Affinity Designer from Microsoft Store (I wanna check this version). The Program was installed through the Microsoft Store but still didn't start.

At the same time my Windows 10 started to update and there I saw that one update wouldn't install - the update concerned the NET framework 3.5 and 4.8. Then I started looking for info on this topic on the internet.

It turned out that I did not have the NET framework 4.8 in the system (despite the fact that when I checked the system earlier it showed that this version is installed). It was a bug of some old Windows update and I couldn't fix it. I had to reinstall Windows, then the NET framework was updated and the program started working.

For people with a similar problem: manual installation of the NET framework 4.8 doesn't work (the installer will show info that this version is already installed on the system), the NET framework will update to version 4.8 only through Windows Update.

    One more thanks for feedback!

    Bart Wesolek

That's great to hear - thanks for letting us know 👍

  5. Thanks for replying. I agree, variables that can pick information from within the document would be useful.

Not sure if you're already aware but you could speed things up if you use Path Components to recreate an existing folder structure or a new one when exporting. I have a folder on my desktop called Client and sub folder called Project. The exported slice will be called design1a. When I then export this slice, I select Desktop when prompted and click export -  the app will then save design1a into Client/Project/ - Alternatively, you could just create a new folder structure on export.

    Hope that helps!
