Crash Crash Crash
Leigh replied to YAR Oracool's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Dan is away this week and I wanted to see if you managed to upload a second dump file using the newer instructions from Dan below? This will allow our developers to figure out what's causing the issue.- 55 replies

Can't register the new Version 1.9 (Split)
Leigh replied to S_IV's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
1.9.2 solved all issues related to My Account in the app. What error are you getting? -
Unable to Register Affinity Photo
Leigh replied to LFace's topic in Customer Service, Accounts and Purchasing
No worries. I wonder if a SMC reset might work 🤔 -

We've had quite a few reports from users that Bitdefender is flagging/blocking downloads from the Affinity Store as being infected with a Gen:Variant.Mikey.119369 virus. We can confirm that all files downloaded from the Affinity Store have all been scanned before being made publicly available to users. This is a False Positive and as been reported to Bitdefender - it can take up to 72 hours for them to update their app.

Below are the registry locations for Affinity Designer 1.9.1. If you remove all of these you will be able to reinstall the app from scratch but please make sure you backup your registry before proceeding. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\888A3ED64F2B9D54ABDC796DD5AB6097 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\888A3ED64F2B9D54ABDC796DD5AB6097 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\888A3ED64F2B9D54ABDC796DD5AB6097 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{6DE3A888-B2F4-45D9-BACD-97D65DBA0679}

Purchase Now Can I wait to download the program
Leigh replied to Picts's topic in Customer Service, Accounts and Purchasing
Our Tech Specs pages lists 938MB of available hard drive space; more during installation. Hope that helps. -
The option to change the installation path only happens when installing the app from scratch and not whilst updating. Your installation appears to be in a state where the 1.9.2 update can see some registry keys that relate to 1.9.1, so it thinks the app is still installed when it isn't. What happened when you ran the Microsoft Uninstaller tool and entered {6DE3A888-B2F4-45D9-BACD-97D65DBA0679}?
