It can get annoying when using a small screen. It may be possible for the devs to do something about it, so i've moved this thread to the feature request section.
It is possible to run the Mac Help Viewer in Dev mode which would allow the help viewer to go behind other windows. You can read more here - do this at your own risk :)

One quick question. When you try and delete the preset, what happens? I think i'm getting something different to what you're experiencing.

- When turned OFF, I copied and pasted a quick shape with a stroke and fill into Sketch. It was recognised as two objects - the stroke and the fill. They are both editable, but are treated as two separate objects - not ideal when working on a large or complicated project.
When turned ON, Sketch recognised the quick shape and treated it as one object. You could edit the stroke and file as if it was created in Sketch - sweet!
When turned ON, text was editable within Sketch. -

You can customise toolbars between personas, so you can remove the Personas Toolbar from Develop if you wish. Personally, I wouldn't want them hidden by default.

Thanks Leigh! I'd say I spent about 12 hours on it, more or less... Unfortunately, my Macbook Pro has been having poltergeist / exorcist events this last week, where "the ghost in the machine" takes over my trackpad and does whatever it wants, moves the cursor randomly, clicks and drags, invokes Exposé, creates new folders on the desktop, total utter chaos! I backed up my system and did a clean install of the OS, hoping that would fix it, but it only did so momentarily. What's worse is that somehow Time Machine only backed up some of the files, in this case it didn't back up the working file to this project, only the high res JPG test outputs... Yeah, I'm about to take this laptop out back and put a few 9mm rounds through the trackpad to see if that fixes the issue, or at least releases the spirit to go on to its next incarnation as a MacPro or something.... SOOOO frustrating to loose days of work!!!
I had a MacBook Pro that did the same when hot - used to drive me crazy! I feel your pain :)

I'm back :)
I've been unable to replicate the issue on Lion. Is it possible to try resetting the app by holding down the CTRL key whilst launching the app?

It should open fine. AFAIK, Affinity Photo has no image size limitation - it all depends on the spec of your machine.
Have you tried to open the image? If so, what happened?

It's not possible to set the size and dpi at the same time. However, the crop tool is still being worked on. I suggest that you make a new thread in the Affinity Photo Feature Request section asking for this to be added - I'm fairly confident that other users will find this feature useful too.

I'm pretty sure it's intentional as there's a thread in the Feature Request section asking for it to be added - you can view it here. I would add a comment to the existing thread explaining that you would also like this feature adding to AP.

Do you get the same issue with all documents, or just this one particular document?

Selecting a Group consisting of lines allows me to change the line colour & width all at the same time. It may look like the settings are not available when selecting the Group but they do work :)
Another shortcut, similar to the one you've already listed: You can double left click one of the objects in the Group to select it and then use ⇧ Shift key to select the other objects - this means you don't have to use the Layers Panel :)

I've been unable to replicate this issue. If you select Clear Menu and try again, do you get the same issue? Are you saving locally? Perhaps resetting the app could fix this issue for you - this can be done by holding down the CTRL key when launching the app.

If you're using the Art Text Tool you can double left click any part of the line to highlight the whole line. If you're using the Frame Text tool, you can left click the last character for the cursor to be at the end of the line - this will then allow you to select the whole line.

Select the line with the style you want to save, go to the Styles panel, click on the Panel Preferences menu on the right and select Add Style from Selection.
When you want to use the saved line style, select the line and click the relevant saved style from the Styles panel.

Affinity apps are completely separate from the Plus range on Windows - they're not compatible with each other. However, you can export your images from Affinity Photo & Designer as a jpg, png, tiff, etc... and import them into Serif WebPlus X6.
