  1. Welcome to the forums kkemball :) It's not possible to import PS or LR presets at the moment, sorry.
  2. You need to press ALT/OPTION when pressing the boolean button to create a non-destructive boolean :)
  3. Yep. Checkout Dave's reply here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/780-trapping-controls/&p=56992
  4. Using Expand stroke will give you the same effect on a quick shape where you've broken the curve/stroke :)
  5. killwilly is correct, it's available in the Customer Beta version. However, it's not possible to download it from the Mac App Store - you'll need to download it from here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/12638-affinity-photo-customer-beta-1351/ Hope this helps :)
  6. Welcome to the forums MeanKidneyDean :) We don't have a overprint preview yet but it's coming. Check out the roadmap here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/842-affinity-designer-feature-roadmap/
  7. Welcome to the forums ellers :) Once the trial has ended it's not possible to extend it, sorry. Do you have another Mac you could install the trial on to test it? You could also watch our video tutorials to see what's possible within the app: https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/tutorials/
  8. Welcome to the forum thinhpham :) You will need to select a node and press the Break Curve button. This can be found here: We will be adding a Knife Tool in the future to make this easier!
  9. Welcome to the forums :) If you open the Mac App Store version of Affinity Designer and go to the File > Open, do your documents open? Do you get any messages when trying to open your documents in the paid version? Is it possible to send us one of the documents you're unable to open? If so, please send it to support@seriflabs.com and include a link to this thread :)
  10. Welcome to the forums just-marc :) It's not possible to create a layer with 50% grey at the moment like in PS. As a workaround you could create a new Pixel Layer and use the Flood Fill Tool to fill it with 50% grey - RGB(128,128,128). You can then switch the 50% grey layer's Blend Mode to Soft Light. Hope this helps :)
  11. The Develop Persona removes unnecessary tools from the UI leaving you with quick access to features better suited to developing your RAW images. Also when using the Develop Persona you get access to other features such as the Develop Assistant, Focus Panel, Location Panel etc ... and any adjustments made in this persona are non-destructive. I guess it comes down to personal preference and what works for you :)
  12. Welcome to the forums Sonju :D You could download the PSD template from the 960.gs site and open it in Affinity ;)
  13. Welcome to the forums Butrflied :D Clicking Round Join from the Stroke Panel should fix this for you :)
  14. I can see in your other thread that Callum advised you to reset the app back to its defaults. Have you done this? If so, did it improve things? What version of OS X are you running?
  15. Thanks for getting back to me. If you disconnect your 4K monitor and use the Macbook's screen. Do you get the same lag issue?
  16. Hi fmlfoto, welcome to the forum :D I'm using an identical spec'd MacBook Pro to you and applying filters is a dream. Are you working with massive images? Are you using the latest MAS version 1.3.5?
  17. Serif has around 130 employees but Affinity is developed by separate team called SerifLabs within Serif. TonyB explains more here.
  18. Welcome to the forum alyssaramirez :) You could copy & paste the mask from the white balance layer to the Clarity Live Filter Layer and then invert it. This should allow you to adjust both layers without them affecting each other.
  19. Not ETA, sorry. I can only suggest that you stay up to date with the Customer Beta builds as they always have the latest features and fixes :) https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/15-affinity-designer-beta/
