Yes, probably one of those.

Yes, that's a quote from a previously-asked FAQ, but it didn't help because the answer to the question wasn't included. So: When a newbie is poking around, trying to follow instructions in Essential Affinity Photo2, and inadvertently pokes the wrong setting, what then? In my case, the UI became quite dark and difficult to read, and "undo" didn't undo anything. So how does one simply drop back to square 1 and start over, with readable color icons and a readable interface?

Thank you for the quick reply. The terminolgy is very helpful. Now that I know where it can be done and what it's called, I can look it all up in Photo2. Danke sehr.

In Affinity Designer2 or Photo2, is it possible to accomplish more than one transformation in one command? Examples: Document Resize, plus save as a PDF or a JPEG? So that if I have 7 or 8 images to resize into 300dpi, then change the overall size, then make all the images available for use in Illustrator or Photoshop?
Yes, I'm sure this question has been asked previously, but I'm new to Affinity and I don't know what that multiple-changes-at-once would be called. If I knew, I wouldn't need to ask.

How do I reset the app back to its default settings?

Thanks. You are right, of course. That took care of it, plus I learned that the vertical tools pallet doesn't actually light up until I open an image in the UI. That's new, at least to me.
