  1. Google, that's all well and good, I just don't understand why programs nowadays rarely offer the most tried and tested method: Just a help button directly in the various function windows? I also develop software with my company and one of the things I often hear is that customers love these help functions right at the point of the question/decision.
  2. I have to tone down my post a bit ... after I have dealt with the program a little more extensively, I see that much runs differently than in Photoshop, but can be implemented in some way, but some tasks can actually be implemented somewhat more productive in Photoshop, there is still room for improvement in Affinity Photo. The price-performance ratio of Affinity Photo is in any case unbeatable.
  3. I completely understand, although I would not see a legal problem if the interface could be designed by the user so freely that the appearance of any other program could be recreated. The changeover would simply be much easier.
  4. Thanks for your welcome 🙂 and for my first reply in this forum. I don't expect the program to offer all the features of Photoshop. But it would be an enormous argument (also under marketing aspects) to migrate if there was at least an option that Photo 2 feels like Photoshop and at least central functions can be reached via similar menu items. I already tried to make friends with Photo 1 some years ago and gave up after a few hours in frustration, because functions simply could not be found as quickly as I was used to. Now I'm going to try again with Photo 2. I'm quite willing to learn and invest some time, but somehow the frustration is already rumbling in the back of my mind. I have tried to use the online help, but it is not really helpful. For example, when I search for help on a particular menu item and enter the name of that menu item in the search, there are no hits.
  5. I have long experience using Photoshop and have switched to Affinity Photo 2 for private work and find the learning curve to be quite steep. Is there any way to make Photo 2's interface as close as possible to Photoshop's? I'm constantly looking for functions and tools that I find immediately in Photoshop, but are sometimes in unexpectedly different places in Photo 2. Since I learned that Photo 2's UI can be configured individually, my question is: Are there any ready-made config files that place the program's menus and functions in similar places as Photoshop? That would make the switch much easier for me.
