  1. Howdy y'all. This is pretty obnoxious (IMO)... Designer lacks a way to perpetually display the mouse's x/y location in relationship to a document. This IN AND OF ITSELF is ... obtuse... and seems silly.... It makes SO MUCH of what I do a LOT HARDER. (trying to ensure that elements are aligned properly across multiple layers and objects... the absence of an easy way to note 'point X is at X,Y so relative distance is N,N') so... if I have a node, whose coordinates are 123, 567 ... it has two handles one at -20degrees and a distance of 30, and the other at 90degrees and a distance of 40 when I click on the node, I can see the hashes on the rulers at 123 and 567 respectively, however There's no indication of the handles' locations on the rulers. The ruler coordinates stay pinned to the coordinates of the node while one is moving the handles. This is fine when one is organically moving stuff/manipulating stuff. This is problematic when one is trying to align nodes pseudo-symmetrically in large documents... this problem is exacerbated by the fact that: - there is no way to have multiple views of the same document visible at the same time for relative alignment at different zoom levels (the navigator SORTA works, but its intention is more coarse - there is no way to display coordinates of the cursor at all times. - there is no way to convey 'I want this node to be rougly the same, but inverse, to that node' I've added a screenshot of a design I'm working on to illustrate the problem.... if I'm zoomed in to the point that cursor movement is sufficiently precise, I can't see the other side's geometry/point alignment... without the ability to always display coordinates, so I could easily touch on a node's handles and note down their locations, I'm left with the option of dead reckoning.... which is something of a pita enmasse. potential solutions: - when a node is highlighted, allow the option to display hashes for the node, as well as its handles, on the rulers. - DISPLAY THE COORDINATES - allow one to use a node as a guide for another node's alignment
