Did you already tried to launch the Affinity app with hold down the CTRL key whilst the app launches? You should see with chance the Clear User Data dialog appearing where you can try with just checked "Don't Restore Window and Documents", as your previous forced quit probably left a written autosave file/doc in an undetermined state.

If the above said doesn't work, then try to uninstall (...ideally also by manually removing the last timestamp indicated autosave file and some other ADe left overs) and reinstall the software.
