JFisher got a reaction from pioneer in Print dialogue in Designer
Hi pioneer :)
We are looking to make improvements to the print dialogue in the future, feel free to post a suggestion in the Feature Requests section. For now, it might be worth exporting your file as a PDF and using a PDF reader/viewer to print many copies of your file.

JFisher reacted to syphon in Widows trial expired immediately after installation
Thanks for a prompt response JFisher. I remember testing a few different applications a couple of months ago. However, I don't remember installing AP as I think that Windows trial was not available at the time. Anyway, as suggested I will try a different computer as I would really like to have a closer look at the program. Especially now, as Affinity is apparently working on a DAM which, in conjuction with AP, could replace my Aperture workflow.

JFisher reacted to Lee D in Adjust perspective with duel planes
Hi Emerald15,
Welcome to the forum.
Open your image and use Filters > Distort > Perspective, the Perspective panel and grid will appear. On the panel, set the Planes to Dual plane and the Mode to Source, now adjust/position the nodes. When ready change the Mode to Destination and adjust the nodes again.
You should have something similar to the attached screenshot.

There will be a InDesign equivalent in the future called Affinity Publisher, which we hope to have in beta later this year.

JFisher reacted to carl123 in Windows Trial Version - Missing Histogram and Filters
If you are only using the Trial version it may be a bit cheeky asking for a refund. :)
Just go grab the Affinity Photo trial version and give that a go

JFisher got a reaction from John Rostron in Wave Filter?
Hi LOGerin1
Welcome to the forum :)
Affinity Photo has a Ripple filter which is similar - Layer > New Live Filter Layer > Ripple Filter. If this isn't exactly why you're looking for feel free to post in the feature requests section.

JFisher got a reaction from christovw66 in Affinity Selection Tool
Hi FotoArt
Welcome to the forum :)
Are you sure you have the layer selected when trying to use the Selection Brush? Do you have the 'Add' option selected in the toolbar?
Have a look at this tutorial in case there's anything you're missing.

JFisher reacted to A_B_C in Copying Gradients
And you could copy the object properties from one shape to another by copying the source object and selecting Edit > Paste Style. Another neat trick … ;)

JFisher reacted to ItsQuesoTime in Nothing but praise for this wonderful app.
Honestly, this is the greatest app I have ever purchased. I spent weeks learning about Adobe Illustrator and used it's 7-day trial. I was close to starting a subscription, until I discovered this. For a lifetime subscription of Affinity Designer compared to a 2 1/2 month subscription of Illustrator, the choice was simple. Being new to vector design, I bought the workbook and that too was another incredible purchase. It got me used to the interface, as well as covered the important aspects in the 5 main projects.
I truly respect the team for offering such great quality at wonderful prices, as well as them being so humble about it. I'm full of eagerness for what more is to come with this team and their creative suite.

JFisher reacted to Chris B in Trial Version
Hey again Dare Quhar, a trial version isn't ready just yet and is unlikely to be ready before the end of the year. I know it isn't ideal but if you really want to try it, you are covered by a 14 day money back guarantee as I mentioned in your other post.
We will do our best to help you during that time if you have any issues with the app. Thanks :)

JFisher reacted to Callum in Layer Reordering?
Hi He who hates turnips,
Dragging and dropping the layers in the Layers Tab is best way to re arrange them. You should see a blue bar appear when you are dragging it in the Layers tab. If it looks like the blue bar in my first screenshot it means the Layer will become a child of the Layer you are hovering over when you release the mouse. If the blue bar appears like the one in my second screenshot it means the Layer will be places above or below the Layer you are hovering over :)
I hope this helps!

JFisher reacted to DWright in Open with ...
Hi Michael,
If the Photo icon is not showing on the open with list you will need to click on the 'Choose Another App' then in the new window scroll down and click 'More Apps' and then on the new window scroll to the bottom and click 'Look for another app on this PC' then browse to the install location of Photo ans click the Photo.exe file and this will add Photo on the list of 'Open With' programs for the file type.

Darren
