[Export as a PSD-File for import in DVD Studio Pro as Menu - bad]

Can you confirm which version of the app you are running?

In the latest beta there is a preset when exporting to PSD called PSD (Final Cut Pro X). I would suggest exporting using this option, let me know if this is any better for you.

As MEB mentioned, there's no way to hide it, but you could go into Window>Seperated Mode which would give you a window only showing your project with the tools surrounding it, or press the Tab key for a similar view :)

Copy Merged is an option only available in Affinity Photo at the moment, I would suggest opening your project in Photo so you can copy merged to clipboard.

If this is something you would like to see in Designer, please post this in the Feature Request section of the forum :)

You can access the images in the Photos app by going into the Media Browser.

Just click View>Media Browser and you will see a Photos section in there. :)

I would advise making a selection of the fist, putting it on another layer then with your background use the rectangle tool on your left hand side, make a shape to fit your canvas, apply your colour using swatches pallet.

You can achieve this with a quick shape, you can add a colour to a quick shape and round off the corners easily. Then you would need to place a text box over the top of the shape.

[Quick Newb question - Finding open files]

Just above the image you have open, you should be able to see the other projects you have open at that particular time. It will display the file name of the image you have open. 

I have provided a screenshot and highlighted the section i'm referring to in red. I hope this helps!

The red 'X' you see on the cloud suggests it is downloading.

After some time (depending on your network connection) this should disappear and you can open the sample file.

[Moving a mask]

Are you selecting both the background and the mask? The only way I am able to replicate this is if I have the background selected that has the mask within a group.

 

If I select the mask layer independently I am able to refine the mask.

You can right click an Artboard in the layers tab and select 'Duplicate'

 

Providing the objects that are on the Artboard are within the group, you should get an exact replica. You would then just need to reposition the Artboard.

[Color Splash]

There are many ways of doing this, I have been able to create a colour splash effect by duplicating the background layer, applying a Black and White adjustment and then simply erasing the part of the image that I want to retain its colour. 

I have provided a very quick example here

Other methods would involve using the Selection Brush and applying the B&W adjustment to the selected area.

Can I suggest resetting the app? This can be done by holding down the CTRL key when opening the app and clicking 'Select All' and 'Clear'

[Printing across multiple pages]

This should happen automatically within the Print studio in Affinity Designer. 

In the print studio, ensure you have selected the correct page size, then make sure you have Scale highlighted under the 'Scaling and Artboards' drop down.

You should notice the preview shows 1 of 'X' depending on the size of the image :)
