When making a pdf publisher file to upload to KDP self publishing amazon, should I use jpeg or png file exported from affinity designer. KDP says my jpegs still have layers, and that is why my file won't upload.

I am doing a coloring book as a way to learn to self publish on KDP amazon publishing. My pdf won't upload and KDP says that some of the jpegs still have layers? I don't see any layers in the layers panel, but I found the merge down feature. Does this flatten files so I can then export as pdf?

I am trying to publish my coloring book on KDP amazon publishing. It will not upload and they say it is because I have layers. So I looked at the pdf export window and turned off layers , resaved and it still won't upload. I need help with what the different windows mean on the export page because I must have inadvertantly changed something because my original pdf of the manuscript uploaded fine, but I had to redo something in the file and so I did, then resaved and now it won't load on their site. I turned off the layers so does that mean its flattened? Is there a screen shot shomewhere to explain what is going on. Also when I hit the preview button all I get is one image off of one page. no document. other times it is just black. Also sometimes I go to my files and instead of saving just one pdf, there is ond pdf for each page. so I have to go through and delete all those, but I don't know what I am doing wrong so that happens. Also, I don't understand the save part. the pdf generates and then I go to share files and save it and hit ok. Then another window comes up with move, so I hit that and it changes windows to save, and then asks if I want to replace or save both. What I want is to save one pdf to on my ipad folder??///. sometimes it shows up on icloud, or ipd, or recents. and sometimes it way down instead of up on the top, so I have to hunjt for it every timne. Also, I fixed the bleeds in my publisher book file and then thought I would lock them so they didn't shift. but when IU needed to unlock the pages, they would not unlock. I go to the 3 dots and the lock function is not selected, but the page (layer) is locked. I don't want to have to re- layout my whole book. how do I unlock the pages? no layers color me human 2.pdf

When I export to pdf I don't get a preview, plus I get every page in my book saved separately instead of one document?

I have an ipad pro (new) and Affinity Desinger (not v2). It is not grouping my objects. each time I try to group it it creates a new layer. If I turn off any of the layers the whole object disappears, so I cant get rid of all the extra layers. Is there something I can do to get it to start grouping again?
