  1. I'd like AI to replace the worst assembly line tasks that just steal time from creatives, like sharpening and selecting hair or correcting the color balance of entire images or selections. Professional photographers will demand this so that they or their assistants don't have to bill clients (or themselves) for image processing like they do today. I'm way behind in my own photo processing because I simply don't have the time or don't want to spend hours on image processing. I have taken many photos in my work and life, and many of them have potential if they go through image processing. But I never get around to it.
  2. How will it work with beta versions of 2.1.x and 2.2.x simultaneously? Can they be installed simultaneously? I imagine there will be more betas of small fixes for 2.1.x after the 2.2.x beta is also released.
  3. Yes, I agree, there are a number of features missing in the contour tool. 🙂 It's not quite finished yet.
  4. Hi @NathanC It's very vague in the FAQ you link to. It would be nice for us customers to have an indication of whether it will be a long time before there will be a well-functioning external monitor support, or whether it is planned in one of the upcoming 2.x releases. It is so cautiously formulated in the post you link to that I hardly dare to believe that it will come within 1-2 years, and you risk that customers can't wait with the great uncertainty and base their product choices on other products. Hope Serif has good news, even though I know you don't give dates or the like.
  5. Oh yes, this proposal is really important for many reasons. Thank you!
  6. As a computer, an iPad is still a tablet with a lot of limitations and compromises. You don't want an iPad as your only tool, I can almost guarantee you that. The mouse doesn't behave as easily and quickly as a desktop mouse when you plug one in, and a pen is something else. There are so many limitations. And file management on an iPad is a clumsy simulation of what you're used to with a desktop computer. Buy a desktop computer for creative work - also for learning Blender 3D and a lot of other things that only happen on a desktop computer. Then you can add an iPad later. There's nothing wrong with it, but it's a tablet with a tablet OS. You should at least try one before you invest, I would definitely recommend that, and you should be aware of what you are cutting yourself off from, for example programs like Blender 3D and others.
  7. Oh man, this takes me by surprise. I just realized that Edit in Publisher doesn't work on a brand new iPad Pro, but now also that copy-paste doesn't work between Affinity apps? It really slows down a true workflow, I hope Serif gets this fixed soon.
  8. +1 reflowable ebooks FTW that it what I am missing
  9. I would love color wheels too. When you learn how to use them they are super cool.
  10. I love plugins, but unfortunately I have tragic experiences with them not being updated (discontinued) or the companies behind them closing down. And that you then have to say goodbye to the tools again when they no longer work with, for example, Affinity. It's serious when it's serious functionality in your serious workflows. So I hope for plugins that can provide extra functionality, e.g. for companies with special needs, who on their own maintain their own scripts for their own workflows and needs, but that Serif itself builds necessary functionality for everyone into the programs and maintains it continuously. For me, this is far more important than the technical platform. But crazy good news - that gives better opportunities for everyone. Just with the above in mind.
  11. I am requesting 'guide groups: in Designer and Publisher. I use guides a lot and they overlap a lot and it can get quite messy. Necessary guides from the right side of a design can completely disrupt the left side of the design when I then have to create and apply guides there. Being able to make guide groups that can be hidden or removed as groups would really make my life easier. It would be extra useful if each group could be assigned its own guide color to further differentiate them from one another. Previously requested here already in 2015 and 2018 but forum requests are now archived:
  12. Hi I came here to request the very same thing. I use guides a lot and they overlap a lot and it can get quite messy. Necessary guides from the right side of a design can completely disrupt the left side of the design when I then have to create and apply guides there. Being able to make guide groups that can be hidden or removed as groups would really make my life easier. Thanks
