  1. To edit nodes while using the pen tool(V2), you can either hold 3 fingers on the screen, or hold/lock the command modifier on the command controller. This PDF listing the modifier gestures may also be useful to you: https://resources.serif.com/spotlight/learning/shortcuts/Affinity-Designer-2-Gestures-iPad.pdf
  2. Hi @NathanC This happened again today and after doing some digging, I was able to recreate the issue. In both the beta, and 2.0, if you double tap on the rotation or zoom dial in the Navigator Panel, the bounding boxes disappear. The beta does also reset to 0 degrees and 100% as expected. Also, I’m not sure if this is relevant information, but I don’t actually use the Navigator Panel to zoom. Generally I just use the pinch in/out gesture, or the quick zoom button.
  3. Hi @NathanC Unfortunately this has been completely random for me for both 2.0 & the beta. Plus, it has only happened a handful of times, so unfortunately I don’t recall which documents I was working on, or what the zoom level was. If it happens again, I’ll check the zoom level and try to retrace my steps.
  4. Hi @NathanC Unfortunately I don’t have a physical recording to provide, but it does happen even if I don’t use the Apple Pencil. However, since you still can’t reproduce this on your end, it seems likely that I’ve shifted something on my end. I’ve been consciously trying to use less pressure with the gestures, & so far, things are almost back to normal. If you’re thinking this likely isn’t a bug, then I’m happy to call the issue settled. At this point, I’m just relieved to have a solution so I can use the gestures again.
  5. Hi @NathanC thanks for your reply. The screen recording above is from 2.0.4 on a M2 iPad Pro, iPadOS 16.4. I’ve attached a screen recording for the 2.1 beta (1743) using the same M2 iPad Pro. I’ve also included a screen recording using 2.0.4 on a 2018 11”iPad Pro, iPadOS 15.4.1. In each recording, if I press very lightly on the screen, the show touches circle is smaller and slightly darker blue. In this case, the gesture is registered. If I press with more force, the circle is larger and lighter blue, and the gesture does not work. I’ve also made sure touch for gestures only is on, but I could still use the Pen Tool with my finger. I’ve dug through the settings in my iPad, and I can’t seem to find anything that would cause this to happen in Designer. IMG_7029.MOV IMG_7028.MOV
  6. IMG_7027.MOV The brushes menu still has white text. M2 iPad Pro, 256GB, iPadOS 16.4, 1743 beta
  7. @NathanC This is occurring for me in the beta as well, both the current and previous versions. The attached screen recording is from the 1743 beta. M2 iPad Pro, 256GB, iPadOS 16.4 RPReplay_Final1681040758.mov
  8. This is happening sporadically for me as well. Same solution to fix it. M2 iPad Pro, 256GB, iPadOS 16.4
  9. I was having difficulties with touch gestures as I posted in the attached thread, and I believe I have figured out the issue. As shown in the video below, there seems to be a bug with touch pressure. The right blue circle is my pencil, the left is my finger. All I am doing is applying and releasing pressure to the screen. Less pressure registers the gesture, more pressure does not. The reason I believe this is a bug is because this discrepancy is not present anywhere else on my iPad, including other apps and the iPad interface. Additionally, if I apply more pressure to the screen, the touch for gestures only setting is ignored. For example, with the touch for gestures only setting on, I was still able to apply additional pressure to the screen, and use the shape and pen tools to draw shapes. RPReplay_Final1680711753.mov
  10. I saw that post as well, although I believe most of those issues have been fixed.
  11. Not sure if this is known/reported already, as I couldn’t find any threads about it in the forums. The studio panel icons shift, forming gaps. The gaps stop occurring when hover effects are turned off. Location and frequency of the gaps varies.
  12. This seems to be an issue specific to M1 and M2 iPads…I agree, it’s really difficult to work with. However, it does look like Serif is aware of the issue. Here’s a couple more threads on the topic. Fingers crossed we’ll have a fix soon!
  13. Adding another screen recording that I think more clearly shows the difference between using shift on the command controller, and using a one-finger modifier. A one-finger modifier gesture used to behave exactly as the shift modifier does. Now the one-finger modifier starts to create a square, but then switches back. I also tried this on a 2018 11” iPad Pro, also running 2.0.4 but unfortunately the results were even worse. On the 2018 Pro, the gesture modifier didn’t even start to create a square, it just didn’t work at all. 😔 RPReplay_Final1680296851.mov
  14. @Callum Thanks for your reply, however, the gestures that aren’t working for me are the correct gestures for V2. I used both the help documents you linked, and this PDF that’s specifically for V2: https://resources.serif.com/spotlight/learning/shortcuts/Affinity-Designer-2-Gestures-iPad.pdf to verify that I was using the correct gestures. For example, under Draw and Edit shapes on the PDF, a one-finger touch modifier should maintain aspect ratio. As I demonstrated in the video, it’s not working for me. I can use the shift command on the command controller, but the actual touch gestures are not working properly.
  15. @walt.farrell Oh, thanks! I hardly use that menu other than to Edit or Duplicate (sometimes Reset) so I didn’t even realize Rename was available!
