Users may suggest features but voting is something else.
All voting does is allow Serif to gauge customer interest in particular features. It doesn't dictate anything.
I find the quote "This is not a democracy, it's a private business. Customer views are interesting but not a deciding factor." quite disappointing, to be honest. The software is made for the customers - the private business does not exist without them. Everything should be guided by the needs of the current or potential users, but statements like this really give the impression that Serif isn't all that interested.

For anyone who works on both Windows and Mac, the price is already effectively double. The whole suite for both platforms is currently just short of £300, so doubling the cost of each product on each platform would take it close to £600. I think many individuals and small businesses would have to think carefully about that, particularly if paid upgrades were to become more frequent.

It's very, very rare that I do any print work (and I have a Quark license for those rare times) so I likely won't be purchasing at the moment. Definitely interested in the idea of StudioLink though, and will keep an eye on how it progresses with the other two apps, which I already own.

Can anyone tell me if the full feature set of Photo/Designer is included within those personas in Publisher? For example, can I access Photo Liquify tools (Push Forward, Push Left etc.) from the Photo persona within Publisher? Thanks in advance.

This has been requested a few times, but is still not an option in the desktop versions of the software as far as I'm aware.
It's the main reason I end up using other software for art/illustration, as it's so tedious and inefficient to have to hover over similar looking brush previews to find the one I'm looking for. Every update I check to see if they've added the option in, but no joy yet.

That's great! Did you get a dispatch email? I ordered this morning (UK) as soon as I saw the tweet, but no dispatch email yet.

I didn't realise the Affinity Photo Workbook was so close! That is excellent news

Great painting!!
Probably because AP has no eyedropper tool.
I may be misunderstanding your comment, but there is an eyedropper tool on the Colour panel on AP ... does that not do what you need it to?

Delighted to have received my copy today - quite unexpected to get a Sunday delivery! Looking forward to getting started :)

Thanks for the reply! Yep, same postcode used for billing/delivery/credit card etc. Happy to share order number if it would help identify any issues.
Looking forward to receiving the book in due course!
(And thanks for the welcome! I am mostly a lurker, but have been registered for over a year.)

How about a "Feature Request Voting/Status Board"?
in Feedback for Affinity Designer V1 on Desktop

@JowdayFrom what I have seen, anyone who contacts Serif about this software on e.g. social channels are told to post feature requests here on this forum. This leads to multiple threads asking for the same features, so unless someone from Serif is doing a secret tally somewhere for each feature, it must be quite hard to judge what is a popular request!
So some way to group requests would make sense, if they are truly interested in what matters to users. Also having a list that can be voted on encourages more interaction - much less time required to add an upvote than to create a new forum thread. Something like the system Illustrator has. I agree that something in-app would be useful too and would catch the users who don't frequent the forums.
As for 'customers who shelved the programs after buying them', I would consider myself within that group. I bought Affinity Designer for Mac full of hope almost 5 years ago but I've still never been able to make it my main tool. I check here from time to time to see what has changed, but it's much harder to judge what's happening without any indication of what's being worked on.
As a woman, I'm interested in your assessment of the male/female split on here! Is it that easy to tell, with so many gender-neutral usernames??
