Thank you, yeah they're all watercolours. I did do a few years illustrating digitally but it isn't as enjoyable as trad media so went back to trad (which is what i started in). It does mean I then have to digitise them to get them online though but scanners are amazing now!

Thanks so much Hangman... that has saved me around £200 for ordering stock of prints which I was on the verge of!! haha!

Under the General tab make sure that Use Generic Printer Features is unchecked as this limits the available Print Dialogue options, which may be why you're not seeing the Print Settings option...

Oh great, now it looks the same as yours! Thanks so much! It's still not what it used to be but at least I've got access to the icc profiles now. Thank youu!!!

yeah weird huh? What I can't figure out is when this happened. I THINK it's since I uploaded V2 and it was only then I went to try to print anything and found that it was all different. So annoying I can't get the same options as before! It's the same if i use my older affinity version too though now!

This is how I'm seeing things under Monterey, which version of macOS are you using?

After selecting your Paper Size, selecting ColorSync under Color Matching from the Range and Scale dropdown should give you access to any ICC profiles you have installed, e.g., if you were printing on Hahnemühle Photo Rag with Matte Ink you would need to have installed the relevant ICC profile for that paper stock which in this case would be HFA_EpsSC-P600_MK_PhotoRag, which I'm assuming you've done previously for the paper stocks you are using when printing...

Selecting Color Matching should allow a selection between ColorSync and EPSON Color Controls...

 

Clicking ColorSync and then the Profile dropdown should give you something like this with a list of your installed ICC Profiles...

 

Then if you go to Print Settings under the Range and Scale dropdown you would select the Paper Source relevant to your print media, either Paper Feeder or Front Fine Art and then select the appropriate Media Type, which taking the example of HFA_EpsSC-P600_MK_PhotoRag would be Velvet Fine Art Paper and your Print Quality, either Fine - 720dpi, SuperFine - 1440dpi, Photo - 1440dpi or SuperPhoto - 5760dpi.

 

Settings such as Platen Gap can be found under Paper Configuration, again under the Range and Scale dropdown...

 

Once you have chosen all the print settings relevant and available to the paper stock you are printing on you can choose Save Current Settings as Preset... under the Presets dropdown and then that preset should be available to you every time you go to make a print...

 

I don't know if that helps or not but let us know how you get on and if any of the above doesn't work and we'll try to help further if possible...

Thanks for all the step by step - unfortunately I seem to have different options to yours. I don't have any 'print settings' dropdown, but 'printer features' and it is a LONNNNG list of things to check or uncheck. This part for me has the choice of paper, but it has the choice of paper in two or three parts of the dropdowns and also has two choices for dpi - it's very strange! 

However, I am getting ok prints from this so thank you so much. It is so frustrating, I seem to be wasting time with my printer every two months or so when it has a funny moment!

Yes, all of thema nd they're not giving me the options I had previously. I've uploaded the drivers and printer again too and i've managed to find extra things but it's no the same as it was. All very frustrating! I may just have to buy prints in if I cna' tmake it work.

Hi guys,

A big part of my business is making prints and since updating to A2 it has changed some things with my print presets and I can't figure out how this happened or if it's a mac update that did it. I am hoping someone here knows how I can fix. Previously I was able to edit presets with loads of options including icc profiles under 'range and scale' then 'colour matching'.

I was also able to edit paper configuration there with platen gap etc too. I also could choose types of paper in the presets drop down and now it just gives me three options, black and white, color or color fine. Color fine does not give me a good enough result for prints at all, they are not crisp enough and it prints very quickly (previously would print slowly with a giclee print).  

These are the options I have now on range and scale, no colour matching at all. 

I am desperate to get this fixed as it means I can't make prints for my customers until I fix this issue. 

If anyone knows what it is that is causing these different choices and how I can reinstate them I will be very grateful!
