bjurasz reacted to MEB in Using Affinity Photo with Apple Photos app
    Hi bjurasz,
As explained above this is a known issue that's already logged /with the dev team to be looked at. Meanwhile instead of using that command do the following: In Apple Photos, double-click the thumbnail of the photo to display it, click the Edit button in the top right corner of the interface (you should switch to the - dark - edit interface, click the ellipsis button on the top right and select Edit in Affinity Photo extension. Proceed with the edits as you usually do in Affinity Photo. The changes will be saved back to Apple Photos if you use this process until we fix the Edit With > Affinity Photo command.

    Hi bjurasz,
Version 1.5 will also have an option that will let you overwrite PSD's so Aperture can pick them again as soon as you hit Save.

bjurasz reacted to Callum in Transform a layer or selection into a trapezoid
    Hi Bjurasz,

    Welcome to the Forums :)

I have included a video and step by step instructions below on how to do this.

    1. Convert your object to Curves and then select the Node Tool.

    2. Using the Node Tool select the top two nodes of your object and then go to the Transform tab.

    3. Select the Anchor point in the attached screenshot.

    4. Adjust the size between the two nodes by making the number lower in the W: field.

    5. Do the same for the bottom two nodes but make the number in the W: field larger.

This should give you a trapezoid!

Please let me know if you have any issues :)

I think what you want to do is equivalent to a Photoshop align layers, correct?  I want to do something very similar as well and wondering if I can.  I have a large document that I scanned in two pieces, with some overlap in the scans.  In Photoshop I could make it do a photo merge with auto-alignment and have one large, properly aligned and merged image.
I think you and I are wanting basically the same feature, correct?

    Hello bjurasz,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
I'm not sure i undertood you correctly. I belive you want to see trough the reactangle selection you have created in the top layer. If that's the case, with the selection created, press ⇧ (shift) + ⌘ (cmd) + I to invert it, so everything else is selected except the area inside the initial selection, then press the Mask Layer button on the bottom of the Layers panel.
