  1. No, I haven't, because how would I even know such a feature even existed? There is no menu item for it in any of the menus or submenus, not even when secondary-clicking the object, and it does not appear in the Transform tools palette, where one might reasonably expect to find it if it existed anywhere, at all. The only indication anywhere on the screen that this feature exists is the tool description in the status bar at the bottom of the screen, which is so far out of anyone's line of sight that I doubt anyone notices it. But, thank you for pointing it out.
  2. Over 5 years since this thread was started, over a year since I made my own thread about it, and there's still no Step and Repeat. This is, of course, not the only thread that points this out, just the oldest one I can find (edit: I subsequently found a thread from 2015, 9 years ago, that points this out, as well). Step and Repeat is absolutely essential to many professional precision workflows, so it's perplexing that a feature that has commonly existed for over 30 years in industry standard desktop publishing software like QuarkXpress and Adobe InDesign, even in the open source Scribus (where it is called "Multiple Duplicate", still does not exist in the Affinity suite. Without this feature, I cannot make use of the software, at all, and cannot in good conscience recommend that any of my colleagues purchase it. Neither "Quick Grid" nor "Power Duplicate" are an acceptable substitute. It really feels like the developers of the Affinity suite just don't care to listen to their licensed users, are committed to doing whatever they want, regardless of how professional users repeatedly tell them what they need, and that these forums are populated by amateur fanboys who will argue until they are blue in the face about why nothing in Affinity needs to change, and demand that you prove to their satisfaction that this feature is necessary, despite it being a standard feature of competing applications for over three decades. It never occurred to me that an application suite for graphic design would not include this feature, so it didn't occur to me to check before I paid for the full suite universal cross-platform licenses, and I feel like I've been ripped off.
  3. It does not. There is no option to set the precision on the iPad version.
  4. I am also not here to justify my workflow to you.
  5. I just tested this on my system. I opened a new document in Designer V2, created a text frame, and typed Alt+0149, and got a bullet point. You can see the font is set by default to Arial Regular 12 pt. I have not changed any settings from the default installation. For macOS users, I believe it's Option+8. I would have put this in a separate response, but the forum won't let me post any more today.
  6. That seems odd. Arial definitely contains a glyph for that. You shouldn't have to set anything special, as the alt code functionality is part of Windows, not the Affinity suite.
  7. If you are a professional designer, then you are already familiar with what "Step and Repeat" entails, as it has been implemented in professional design software for over 30 years. I am not here to satisfy your ego.
  8. Publisher V2 on Win 11 Pro: When I select the text box, the Transform bow shows the correct position of the box relative to the page, but when I select any of the lines, it shows the position relative to the spread. I would like it to show the position relative to the page, the way Adobe InDesign does. Is there a setting for this? I have not been able to discover one. If this is a bug, please fix it.
  9. Alt + 0149 works fine on my system. If it is showing as a rectangle on your system, then the font you have selected may not contain a glyph for that character node.
  10. Neither Quick Grid nor Power Duplicate are acceptable or efficient replacements for Step and Repeat which is implemented in a wide variety of other design software applications.
  11. Using Publisher V2 on iPad, I noticed immediately that there is no way to specify a line width of 0.25 pt. In case you are unaware, this is the default line width in Adobe InDesign, so it’s pretty important for people moving over from InDesign to maintain graphic continuity with previous projects. 0.2 pt, 0.25 pt, and 0.3 pt are easily discernible to the eye, so neither 0.2 nor 0.3 are acceptable substitutes for 0.25. If the software already supports that precision, but the interface does not, please fix the interface.
  12. I see that there hasn’t been a thread about this in about a year, so I would like to mention that Step and Repeat is an essential tool for the kind of design work that I do creating personal organizer products.
  13. I'm a new user, I just purchased the Universal License package and installed Publisher on Win 11 Pro, and created my first new document. This is a 95 mm x 171 mm page, for a Filofax Personal organizer. As you can see, when the Zoom level is set to 100%, the page size is tiny. This is on a 1920 x 1080 resolution screen. Is there any way to adjust the display size so that 100% is 100%?
