Hi,
I wonder if the color should not refill the curve when we reshape it ?
There is Smart refill option in Fill mode but it seems to keep the original curve also
Thanks

Hi,
I think it would be practical to be able to select all Locked objects to unlock them
Thanks
-
It seems to have an option to click it once in the transform panel bottom-right
-
All is in the title
Thanks

The best seems to use shapebuilder tool (-), doesn't matter how many points there is
-
-
I remember a user said "Use the shapebuilder tool, change it's action to subtract (-) and click on the bit you don't need."
that seems to work but if we could just delete without using shapebuilder that would be nice. In case a developer reads this

Hi,
About the scissors, instead of erasing with the pixel tool i think the easiest would be to cut 2 parts and delete the new created line
Idealy ì would cut both side and press delete but maybe i miss something here cause the procedure is more complex:
When cut in two places i have to move each nodes, sometimes it select the wrong one. Then i need to erase all nodes to make the line disapear.
Does someone have a better way to replace the eraser with the scissors ?
Thanks

You where talking about Shape Builder
Another user made me realize we can use it with lines. Cut the line 2 places with scissors then select Shape builder tool with - sign then delete it
UPDATE: Don't even need to cut it, just select it with shape builder
-
Thanks, that works well, don't even need to move the line !

Hi,
If i use Scissor tool and cut a curve at 2 separates places, i would expect to be able to delete the resulting line.
The problem is when i select the resulting line with Node tool, it also select all the original curve and they are on the same layer.
To delete the resulting line ,i must to right click, Geometry - Separate curves. Then the 2 lines are on separate layers
Is there a way to select it ? I don't know if i'm missing something here
Thanks

Ok,
In illustrator the Eraser tool is there...it seems to work by recreating the curve. Doesn't seem perfect:i erase a line and it creates a curve instead or erasing it...
So i guess the best way is to cut the curve and replace it ?

In photoshop you can use a free form lasso to select part of an area and then delete it. I cant figure out how to do that in Affinity designer.
I answer for others, personally i use the pencil tool with a Width of 0

Hi,
Why do we need to go to pixel persona to use Eraser ? Because there is a way to make it work with masks, that should not rasterize ?
Thanks
-
i converted in SVG and zoomed 500% in Chrome and i don't see rasterized curves
-
Ok thanks
For others, i found what i wanted here : https://logosbynick.com/join-curves-in-affinity-designer/
(To really merge curves together)
-
For example (really not usefull) i make a rectangle with 2 sides with a pencil and 2 sides with Pen (line) then i select the curves, right click Geometry then Merge Curves.
Normally all the lines would be closed and i could color it but they aren't closed
i guess Merge only makes them on the same layer but doesn't close them together

Hi
For a closed shape i understand that the start point must meet the end point
But i didn't do the shape in one step
I merged the 3-4 curves together but when i fill it it's like if it remembers that the end and start point doesn't meet
I could do it all again but is there a way to close this without meeting the 2 points ?
Thanks !

Oh ok,
Thanks ,i understand now
But i created a vector image (a circle) and it show pixels when in View > View Mode > Pixels.
Doesn't it show pixels for all vector images ?
-
You can select the curve and select a color it should be colored even if the curve isn't closed
I think the curve must be done in one time because two merged curves doesn't make a good result
-
Just want to specify when you add the shadow inside the Exposure adjustment you got to drag it on the circle so you will get a little square bottom right of the shadow so that it works and not if you drag on the name "Exposure adjustment"

if the curve get a color before i fill it with another all is working well but if i fill a transparent curve and reshape it , it doesn't work well
