  1. When a note is continued into another column, the set style for the dividing rule is changed to a thick line extending the entire width of the column.
  2. Okay, I changed capitals to normal, no change. I went to alternates and do not see the setting you reference. 😟
  3. I applied old style to figures for body text. Everything looks good. Created new footnote style based on body copy with old style figures. Everything looked good. Entered a new footnote. Resulted in gibberish text as shown. Undid old style selection from new footnote style. Gibberish text remains, even when I past from plain text editor. How do I get readable text back? 4. Thanks so much @MikeTO that did it! Awesome! I also see that the footnote style was somehow applied to the body, so that was an additional issue. Last question: anyone have any idea why the second footnote separator on the first page is so different (longer, wider) than the footnote separator on all the other pages?
  5. I checked special characters and no breaks. I tried playing with Keep With and Keep Together but that just created big gaps in other places. I've attached the file. Any help is greatly appreciated! Ancestors.afpub
  6. Any idea why the text is flowing to the next frame but leaving such a large space (indicated by two red boxes)? How do I compact the flowing text to eliminate these gaps? (Third large gap is purposeful to start new page!) I'm on Mac OS and did not insert any page or column breaks.
