For future users with the same-ish problem: I had just one set of brushes colouring grey instead of black, it had transparency but every setting was at 100% opacity!!! All the other brushes were drawing a full saturated black and I couldn't find a fix. Then I ticked off "Wet Edges" and everything was back to normal. It took me a while and probably I ticked it by mistake. Hope it'll be useful to somebody. Bye
