  1. Hi! Hope all are well! I've been posting almost everywhere about this, and it seems Affinity Designer may have the solution for this! Let's hope so, and maybe one of you kind souls can guide me there 😊 As we may already know, Illustrator only works with 8 bit colors; so the gradients aren't very smooth, especially the ones that fade out to 0% opacity. I'd like to open the AI in Affinity Designer and 'interpret' the gradients and colors with a 16 bit space. It sounds doable, right? I opened the AI in Affinity Designer, selected 300 PPI and RGB. Then I went to Document Setup and changed it to RGB/16. I thought it would work! Unfortunately it looks exactly the same. Does anyone have any ideas? If anyone can do this, I'm wiling to pay too. The only other options I see currently are recreating all the gradient layers in Photoshop or Affinity Designer within a 16bit space. Any advice would be appreciated. In essence, the main goal is to get the image as a 16 bit image. Not just changing the space to 16 bit and exporting, but TRUE 16 bit - in effort to fix all the circles which lack clarity and fidelity compared to the other elements. Thank you all in advance! I've got the original AI here, and the PSD, with all the layers that would need to be recreated in one group - the first two groups in AI, and the first group in PSD. Hoping to hear some good news. Happy new year and happy holidays! Glitz-logo crop regrouped.psd Glitz-logo crop.ai
