[Affinity V2 crashes on launch after buying a license on Mac.]

Ok I got it working by installing the software through the App store rather than downloading the dmg files from Serif. I'd still love to understand what happened, to avoid any issues in the future, but glad I found a work around.

So I had a free trial of Photo and Designer v2 installed and working. Decided to buy a license, opened Designer - got a message thanking me for buying a license and then it crashed. Tried opening Photo, that crashed, same for publisher. Uninstalled everything, including the version 1 of all apps I had. Fresh installs for v2 with reboots before and after - still crash. Uninstall again, ran OS updates. Still crashes. Cleared user data & cleared all data options (holding down ctrl when launching) - still crashes. 

It gives the splash screen that says 2.0.3 but fails shortly after. Kinda bummed as it was working as a trial version and paying for a license seems to have caused it to keel over and die and not just a little bit. I just recommended your products to a friend, I really hope the support I haven't needed in the last 5 years of using your products can help.
