[HELP] New in all this: How to crop a shape on top of another

Hi guys im new in all this vectorized drawing and trying to learn. I need help with the following: 2 shapes, one on top of another. I woud like to crop the shape of the top one and make a punch through the bottom shape. I have attached a video i recorded to explain a bit better. I would really appreciate the help. Untitled.mov
