  1. I have successfully scripted sending files from Capture One to new Affinity Photo merge documents: Focus Merge, HDR Merge, Panorama, and Stack. See this video demonstrating each. This is not an automated round-trip. It simply makes it faster to select files in Capture One and add them to the file list of a new AP merge document. Each merge document type offers some customization options before it completes the merge. Choosing your options, completing the merge, exporting your output to a file format compatible with Capture One, and importing / synchronizing it back into Capture One is a manual process for the user. Due to the considerable effort and time invested in writing this I cannot offer it for free. If you are interested in it send me a private message.
  2. My hope is Affinity might be incentivized by possibly further drawing people away from Adobe. There is no Capture One interface to Adobe. Adobe has no incentive to provide one since they would not want to erode their Lightroom user base. A collaboration between Capture One and Affinity would be a nice solution that takes Adobe out of the equation. This also offers users a persistent license ecosystem. Both Affinity and Capture One offer perpetual licenses. Adobe only offers a subscription.
  3. I am asking for Affinity Photo to provide a plugin where Capture One can send file TO Affinity Photo. You are asking for a way for Affinity Photo to send files to another app. I support your idea. Please create a separate thread proposing it so others can provide their support.
  4. I would like to see Affinity Photo to collaborate and develop a plugin for Capture One. I would like to see a plugin that lets me render multiple selected raw files into intermediate RGB files in Capture One then send those to Affinity Photo for Pano Stitching HDR Merge, and Focus Merge documents. I'd like the choice to retain or throw away the intermediate RGB files, and to add the resulting stitch / merge back into the Capture One catalog or session. I also would like to see some collaboration between Capture One and Serif to provide support for Affinity native file formats in Capture One. Capture One supports PSD files. Support for Affinity Photo files would be welcomed.
  5. Freshly downloading V2.1 packages did not change the app names. They still include "Affinity Store" in the name.
  6. Another mac user also experienced this. They said the downloaded the full 2.1 suite again (vs using the in-app upgrade) and the apps were named as expected. I plan to try this myself.
  7. Inside Capture One when I use "Open With" or "Edit With" I now see these names for the Affinity apps. They all have "Affinity Store" added to the end of the names. V2, prior to V2.1, they did not have "Affinity Store" in their names. I looked inside each app's package folder. Their Info.plist names these executables and their MacOS folders have binaries by these names. In /Applications/Affinity Designer 2/Contents/Info.plist <key>CFBundleExecutable</key> <string>Affinity Designer 2 Affinity Store</string> In /Applications/Affinity Designer 2/Contents/MacOS/ Affinity Designer 2 Affinity Store In /Applications/Affinity Photo 2/Contents/Info.plist <key>CFBundleExecutable</key> <string>Affinity Photo 2 Affinity Store</string> In /Applications/Affinity Photo 2/Contents/MacOS/ Affinity Photo 2 Affinity Store In /Applications/Affinity Publisher 2/Contents/Info.plist <key>CFBundleExecutable</key> <string>Affinity Publisher 2 Affinity Store</string> In /Applications/Affinity Publisher 2/Contents/MacOS/ Affinity Publisher 2 Affinity Store I purchased the V2 bundle directly from the Serif Affinity store when it was announced. Is this a change Serif has made to differentiate the direct sales binaries from the Mac App Store binaries?
  8. @NathanC .. you typed "DMG" and the OP referenced "DNG". Did you mean "DNG"?
  9. Look at Adobe Camera Raw preferences. Those control whether files open in camera raw. It happens a lot with TIFF files too. Users of other apps have reported this.
  10. This is easily fixed. Select a DNG file in Finder, open File Info, change the associated app, and check the box to indicate all files of that type should open with that app.
  11. It isn't something I really need. I just read it in the documentation and decided to try it. This is an Apple Image Core RAW issue. This is NOT an Affinity issue.
  12. I created a new empty document. I created a master page with rectangle covering the background set to my desired business card background color. I applied the master page to my document page. I used the picture selection tool to import a transparent PNG file containing my signature logo and text. I exported the file. The afpub document is attached to an earlier message above.
  13. While it doesn't mention the Nikon Z9 HE file format explicitly it does direct us to use Apple's Core Image RAW for support for other formats. Going to Apple's web page for iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura then leads one to believe we can get support for the Z9 HE file format using Apple Core Image RAW. It isn't Serif's fault that Apple improperly documents their support for the Nikon Z9, but Serif could get Apple to fix their docs or their Core Image RAW library.
  14. @MEB .. the point of the post was to document that Nikon Z9 HE files is NOT supported. It turns out to be an Apple problem. Affinity's documentation says we can switch to the Apple Core Image RAW for RAW Engine and get support. That turns out to be false - because Apple doesn't provide the support Apple claims. I filed a feedback request with Apple. Ideally Serif Affinity also should use their corporate relationship with Apple to also file a report.
  15. Adding this link documenting that Apple claims iPadOS 16 supports the Nikon Z9 and no footnotes document limitations. Digital camera RAW formats supported by iOS 16, iPadOS 16, and macOS Ventura https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT213267
