  1. As far as I remember, I did tear it loose from the side of the application (double-click), and it became the 2 column window by default. Anyway, that was during 2.0, so it's been a while.
  2. This worked, thank you! I was able to add this and other tools I was unaware I have been missing out on. I have never before configured my toolbox. Developers, It would make sense for a toolbox with default settings to update to the current default configuration with each new version of the software.
  3. The Flood fill tool is missing from my toolbar. I am able to select the tool using the keyboard shortcut R As far as I can tell, my toolbar looks like it's still 2.0.0, although i'm using 2.3.0. I noticed this issue when I was looking for the Flood Fill tool a few weeks back, on 2.2, when I found a screenshot of the toolbar that looked different from mine In this post It also seems to me that the gradient and transparency tool are supposed to have been merged into a single toolbar item by now. The screenshot shows what my toolbar currently looks like. The issue is permanent, unrelated to files, present whenever Affinity Designer is open. I have tried restarting Designer but the issue persists. I have tried rebooting my computer but the issue persists. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 2.3.0 and the issue persists. I have also tried docking my toolbar to the side, but the issue persists. I'm using windows 10 hardware acceleration is on I'm using a Wacom 22 pen display
  4. ah, thank you for clearing that up! …I was using Designer
  5. I would like to use drop caps in a text. I can’t find the option in the paragraph or in the character panel, nor in the style editor. An internet search turned up a description of how to apply drop caps in the V1 manual, but there is no mention of drop caps in the V2 manual. Has this feature been removed in V2, or am I just not looking in the right places? (For now, I’ll just create a separate text box for my drop cap, the workaround is simple enough, but I still wonder about this functionality) Edit for clarity
  6. Thank you for looking into this. I am able to replicate this is 2.0.4 but only with images copied from the internet. (right click -> copy image) The behaviour seems to occur randomly maybe 60 percent of the time? it’s hard to tell. I just got 10 pastings correctly placed in a row, followed by another 10 that were off. Then 3 that worked, followed by 4 that were off. It seems to me it’s more frequent when the page is selected in the pages panel rather than by clicking on the page, but in both cases it happens. Copying and pasting something already within the document works fine. I also tried pasting an image from a pptx file open in libreoffice and it was placed correctly.
  7. Affinity Publisher 2.0.3 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4440 CPU @ 3.10GHz 3.10 GHz Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.89 GB usable) Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2 Installed on ‎27/‎11/‎2022 OS build 19045.2486 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4190.0 I’m using 2 monitors, one of which is a Wacom Cintiq22 steps to reproduce: * copy an image from web browser. I use firefox. * open Publisher * create a document. uncheck "facing pages" * using the "pages" panel, select the page in publisher where you wish for the image to be pasted * paste expected result: * the image is pasted on the active page of the publisher document actual result: * The image ends up way outside and below the active page. * Trying to reproduce this has given me inconsistent placement. It can be the equivalent of 1, 2, 6 or even 11 pages further down. * If there are no pages after the active page, the image is pasted far below active page. * copying and pasting an image from within the publisher document itself places the image on the active page, as expected. * selecting the page by clicking of the page (not using the "pages" panel) seems to paste the image correctly sometimes. * on page 1, the image is pasted correctly. * Hardware acceleration ON and OFF produce these same results as far as I can tell. * I can detect no correlation between placement of the pasted image and placement on the website it was copied from.
  8. I add my vote to the future impementation of this feature much love to the devs!
