@Old Bruce Thanks for your response, I wanted to be able to still edit the text though just not have a huge circle overlapping all the time. If it's just something I have to put up with then it's fine.

I also had another query where I'm needing to type on a curved path, though the only way I could figure out was to create a circle and type within.
When trying to select other objects the blue line showing the original circle used for the type still shows. Is there a way to remove the top half of that selected line/circle?

Thank you hangman, would you mind explaining simply how you managed to do this? Also not sure what FX stands for...

No Mike/ Alfred, I wish that it was to save the time I've been spending on this simple task 🤦♂️
It's 'fill' only. Cheers -

Sorry on the delayed response, I didn't get email notifications for these and presumed there was no response.
Usually when I used Adobe (the darkside) it was beneficial to create the logo as a compound shape to avoid any export issues.
If you think that grouping them will be fine then grouping it is.
Cheers

Hi everyone, I was just wondering how it's possible to make a logo I created in Affinity Designer a solid compound shape.
I moved from Adobe as I could no longer afford their prices, though the compound option was greyed out and unable to have the entire logo as a solid compound path like you can easily do in Adobe Illustrator.
Any advice/ help on this would be great.
Thanks,
Jamie

@Hangman I just had a lot of circles going on with the blue line stroke where I'd placed the curved text which felt unnecessary and caused issues selecting objects that overlapped. Recreating with the knife tool seemed to half it which helps a bit.
