Text as curves
in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)

When exporting a file to be printed commercially they are asking all text be converted to an outline so they can accurately print fonts they may not have. The only option I see in Affinity is "text as curves". Are these two things equivalent: "Outline your text" and "Text as curves"? I contacted the printer but they were unfamiliar with Affinity commands and only supported Adobe products. I would prefer to keep my artwork in Affinity instead of transferring to an Adobe product first.
