Hello!
Firstly thank you for letting me join.
I am entirely new to the world of Affinity - everything I've learnt to date has been via the wealth of YouTube videos which has got me so far but when you stumble across a problem such like I have then the tutorial renders me useless.
I have a photo of a scan which I've been asked to cut into a heart shape. Sounds simple, yes?! No! I've been at this for 2 hours 🤪. I've followed 6 tutorials which all are very self explanatory but when I get to 'convert image to curves' this is greyed out. It's unlocked, I've made a copy of it, I've opened it on a new art board, I've tried everything on the forums I can find but convert to curves remains greyed out. The next option is to subtract the shape from the image - again I can divide or add but cannot subtract. I know it's probably going to be the simplest answer in the world but I need it entirely jargon free (sorry!). I just need someone to say - 'this is what you've done wrong' rather than using terms that as a starter (yes, vector I still can't get passed unless we're talking about Despicable Me) I am going to understand.
Apologies for being a pain in the backside, I will kiss the shoes (or slippers) of anyone who can put it simple for me.
Thanks in advance.
