  1. Regarding the colours, that means that when I 'return' to the layer after working on my mask, I will lose the set colours..?
  2. First, I'd like to know how can I display my mask attached to a layer to appear besides the layer and not underneath? So I don't have to click on the small arrow to open it? I want to be able to click on it right away to select it and to paint on it. The second question is, how can I have the background and front colours automatically set to black and white as soon as I have selected a mask? Really basic features which every other application can do, but doesn't work in AP for me Thank you!
  3. thank you! QM it gives me the selection, but when I return to my layer, I only see the selection i.e marching ants, and have to paint on my mask all over again. not a productive way to work 😕
  4. Hi, I have a question how can i make my mask I am painting on appear transparent (e.g. in re like photoshop does) while I'm paining.? I need to see the area which I have already painted and the image at the same time, and my mask can only appear non-transparent black, which covers my image
  5. It's the inpainting brush tool I am using. The black colour (spot) is only the indicator where the inpainting tool has been applied, there is no colour. So I don't understand why it is affected by the B&W layer at all, as it is only the tool itself and B&W applies only to the photo. Or should, as I understand this. If I turn B&W off it appears in red as usual, screenshot attached
  6. Thanx Garry for the quick reply! The black dot is basically the inpainting tool, where I traced it, which usually appear red. I'd like it to stay red. Full screen attached, am I doing something wrong here? Thnx a mil!
  7. I am working on skin blemishes and to be able to see them better I have a black and white layer on top of my retouching layer, it affects the red colour for that purpose. So as I am working on the layer beneath the B&W layer it affects my inpainting tool, or why does it appear black? my tool is not a part of the image though...
  8. I need the perspective I have posted I the first image, but without these broken lines.
  9. The tiara was straight, this happened after using the perspective tool with the settings I have described. I need it turned to the left to match the head's perspective, so perspective change and tilted back somewhat. I have the newest AF update. I can not upload the file, as client's face is on it, but I am uploading the tiara. Assistance would be grand, I need this image asap Thank you!
  10. Perspective tool doing this to the tiara. I used dual plane, destination mode. I really feel like I need to go back to PS Too many bugs, this isn't working at all.
  11. Hi Michail! Thanks for getting back to me. It works different to what I was used form adobe products. I have found a work around by now though and I am happy with the results. (I will try to get a screenshot of the same image edited in both apps, ACR and Affinity with the develop persona)
  12. that would be better indeed. Also bringing them in front of the layer instead at the back would be more convenient. Speeds up the retouching process.
