  1. In birdphotography a dark image of the bird against a light sky can be a problem, for instance in a wood. Can a 32 bits HDR opening be used in development mode to enable better tone mapping for shadow parts in the photo persona? Is it to be recommended? I did use that way of workflow using V1 a lot, especially to enhance details in the dark bird. Or is a normal procedure better with opening in 16 bits and using highlight adjustment and curves, etc. in development and in the photo persona? In version 2, using normal basics seems to work as good or even better?
  2. Hi, The file cannot be found: But on user ** / apps I find the affinity photo 2 app. I don't have a library map there.. I was an Affinity Photo 1 user. I got the version 2 from the 'Affinity Team'. as stated in a Thanks for choosing Affinity mail. 5247b4cd276df3d7d0927230e387514df0d26189.rtfd.zip
  3. Hi Wait, Thank you for your quick reply! On my Macbook M1 I cannot however find the MRU.DAT file in free search or in library/ etc. Can it be named or placed differently?
  4. MacBook Pro M1: Oops, on holiday and using Affinity Photo normally on my NAS address at home for saving! I shut that NAS down when leaving .... Now I am very sorry about that.. How can I prevent Affinity Photo from stopping at the very start, even when loading an Affinity photo file or canon file .CR3 or .DNG file from a new address on my Macbook? And change the saving address in a new one on my Macbook? Trying all the time, rebooting Affinity Photo, tried to reset general settings, but that did not help!! What to do to get it working again on my journey?
  5. OK, the result is very interesting, but the way to get there.... Just asking, could I see a user-friendly version of this in the next update? Preferably using verbal terms as used in the 'normal' tone mapping persona??
  6. Sorryfor being unclear.. 1. I open a file xxx.cr3 with affinity photo2 2. I click in the choice field for the output, now showing 'Pixel Layer' in gray 3. No other choice available, nothing happens 4. I notice now RGBA/32 (HDR) is on the screen, I have to get rid of that, but how?I choose 16 bits..
  7. The choice in developer is grayed. Input files are from a canon EOS R5 .CR3 file. I used to work in HDR, for getting better results in backlight with pictures of birds in a bush. Worked fine for me in photo 1. I recently stopped doing that, to give the RAW embedded function a chance. I am an amateur photographer. I made some changes to the settings of Affinity Photo 1 using information provided. Something seems to have created a problem!
