  1. I went back to Dell as I was still within a couple of months of warrenty etc and banging my head at the wall. I discovered one of the windows updates hadn't updated correctly and effected more than Affinity Designer and Photo. My Windows 11 search bar glitched and other silly things were not quite right that I hadn't noticed before. So I did a new install of Windows 10 and still couldn't get pass the Windows update causing the issue. 6 more attempts and it worked, got pass the update and reinstalled all my other programs including Affinity and now it works fine for what I need. I haven't updated to Window 11 this time, just incase! Hope this helps.
  2. Mine still crashing the same as before latest update. Only difference now it sometimes brings up a message saying save file as , as making any changes will make it av2 file. Then it freezes
  3. I've updated and still have the same problem I've got logs for c:\windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log & C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log but they are big files and I have no idea what I'm looking for?
  4. If it's a hardware issue, can anyone share a system spec with a system that works, to at least get a minimum system setup that works. I'm wondering if I need to upgrade the graphic card?
  5. I'm afraid not. I don't think it even said, just that it fixed x amount of corrupt files. I was just happy and shocked, happy it said it fixed some hoping Affinity would now work. shocked because it's a newish system and wasn't expecting any corrupt files.
  6. No crash report - empty? My system - Dell Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Windows 11 fully updated Using NVIDIA Quadro P620 . Graphics drivers all up to date I've ran SFC /scannow and fixed a a couple of corrupt files on the system I've ran DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth But still got the same crashing when opening files
  7. Ranpo 'V1 used to work for me fine until one of the last V1 updates caused some issues which were related to the KB update, so even reverting might not be best option, but this quick changeover might be the temp fix or moving quick changes to another system will suffice for now.' Same issue here! Reverting back didn't solve the problem for V1. Hoped V2 would solve the problem but still have same issue. Can't open a second tab just freezes up.
  8. I emailed Affinity back on 8th Dec!, still waiting for a reply and it's now the 19th!
  9. I emailed Affinity back on 8th Dec, still waiting for a reply. I really hope they release an update that solves all the crashing soon.
  10. AlainP Apologies, I wasn't actually shouting, just typing on from another screen and looked up to see caps on and couldn't be bothered to go back and re-type it.
  11. Dangerous HOW DO I CHECK THAT/TELL THE DIFFERENCE? STUDIO DRIVER OR GAMES READY DRIVER ?
  12. Dangerous Yes, i'm using Nvidia graphics card. Drivers up to date. I got eventually PSD file to open after several attempts of closing and re-opening the program.
  13. Enable CL doesnt work Also can't open a photoshop file in V2 either, just crashes with not responding
  14. JPBERUTTI910 My system - Dell Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Windows 11 fully updated Using NVIDIA Graphics drivers all up to date
  15. I can only put it down to Affinity at the moment because everything else runs sweet. This is the worst launch of any software I've seen, I know there can be some issues to begin with but there are pages and pages of problems and I'm not seeing many fixes as yet 😞
  16. THIS IS JUST UNWORKABLE - DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS EVEN CAUSING THE ISSUE GRAPHICS CARD, WINDOWS 11, AFFINITY SOFTWARE ?????????
  17. You guys are doing better than me, I'm stuck, I have the same issue on v1, thought I would get v2 to see if it fixes the problem but it didn't. V1 worked fine up until about 2/3 weeks before the release of V2. Loads up fine to start, opens first file and I can print like nothing wrong, but open second file and it takes ages and freezes Designer completely. I have to end task to close program and re-load to use it again once before I repeat. No crash report - empty? My system - Dell Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Windows 11 fully updated Using NVIDIA Graphics drivers all up to date Any ideas on how to solve this? I've ran SFC /scannow and fixed a a couple of corrupt files on the system I've ran DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth But still got the same crashing when opening files
  18. Affinty is the only software im having problems with everything else seems to work fine, it's not an old system so wouldn't expect problems.
  19. I've ran SFC /scannow and fixed a a couple of corrupt files on the system I've ran DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth But still got the same crashing when opening files
  20. Strange but if I open a file folder and select file open with AD2 it seems to be working so far - Actually Nope! that now freezes the file window box from where the file came from?
  21. Strange but if I open a file folder and select file open with AD2 it seems to be working so far, but if you open file within affinity via File, Open, select file, this is when it freezes, it would seem on the surface to be an open file issue? Anyone else having the same sort of issue?
  22. Just purchased affinity Designer 2.0 and gutted 😞 Loads up fine to start, opens first file and I can print like nothing wrong, but open second file and it takes ages and freezes Designer completely. I have to end task to close program and re-load to use it again once before I repeat. No crash report - empty? My system - Dell Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Windows 11 fully updated Using NVIDIA Any ideas on how to solve this?
