Doberman on Graphics

I've been goofing around with the pencil brushes, and playing with the settings. I've always kept a sketchbook, but have never crossed over to digital. One of the selling points of the Surface Pro was a native app that felt like the real thing! They discontinued the app, but honestly it was woefully insufficient, though the it's pencil feel is something that I've been trying to replicate on multiple platforms (Fresco, Sketchable, SketchBook, etc). Affinity is so close, I can almost taste the lead! I would love to see a resource on a set of pencils: 9H, 8H, 7H, 6H, 5H, 4H, 3H, 2H, H, F, HB, B, 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B, 6B, 7B, 8B, 9B, 9xxB I would also like to be able to see them referenced, not but their pixel size, but by a given name (eg. HB) HB has always been one of my favorites. And, I was Today Years Old when I discovered HB and the ubiquitous No. 2 are essentially the same thing, and that HB in Asia is generally darker than the European HB Guidance, help, and projects are all welcome ..

Odd, I found the last update KB5020613 from 11/10/22. I rebooted, but it didn't work. Checking installed updates again, I found the sequentially earlier KB5018329 installed TODAY! I uninstalled that one, paused automatic updates, rebooted, and it still failed. I found another on the list, KB5017262, also sequentially smaller (earlier ?), and again installed today. Another uninstall and reboot, and everything seem to working correctly. @NathanC should include pausing updates before following the removal procedures, and search again to see if another update snuck in. I did search before asking the community, and saw the pinned faq, but the subject title didn't seem specific to me. Not crashing when "seaching.. placing.. updating" - I couldn't even open the app! What OS? Hardware. Is it a Windows 10 thang? Great name btw

It does open long enough for me to recognize My text-style names in the workspace menus 3 seconds top, and unresponsive

Publisher is crashing each time I've launched it, or tried to open an existing document. Designer and Photo seem fine. I haven't used it in a month, and yes, I've rebooted. Frustrating to come home from a very tough day, and not be able to hone that resume a bit. Windows 10/Surface Pro 7(?)
