  1. The world we live in is owned by people we have been brainwashed to call “the government”. To live peacefully here in this world—a world that was not created by any man, or body of men calling themselves the government—we are forced to share our hard earned money with “the government”, under the specious banner of taxes, or we are in danger of catching hell. All the things you have listed, are doings of these men you call “the government” or the elites or whatever name denoting their real character. The human beings who work at affinity, must survive in this world. They have bills to pay, families to take care of and must also survive. Nobody works to make a loss. Everyone works to make a profit. For the boss at affinity to maintain his profit, as well as pay his workers, pay for web hosting services to keep his website up, and also pay taxes to “the government”, he has no option but to increase the prices of his products. It’s the only option he has, and the only option which makes sense. You might want to trace the problem you have to the root cause.
  2. What was the context in which I used it? Calling it ridiculous doesn’t prove anything. You don’t like the fact that, the choice is yours, and that none of these companies can employ force, to make you invest in their products. Why is that a problem for you?
  3. The wheel has already been invented. All that everyone is doing, is adding transformational value to their products. Its the reason why you can differentiate a car that is of a toyota brand, from one that is bentley's. Its the reason you can differentiate an android phone from an iphone. All these products contain essential elements that cannot be reinvented, except modified. What affinity is giving you is non-destructive editing; where, unlike adobe photoshop, you have to create smart objects to keep adjustments still editable. When it comes to photo editing, photoshop is offering their approach and so is affinity. Photoshop believes you have to subscribe to use their products; and affinity believes, that you have to pay once and the product is yours to own. None of these companies, can force you to use their products. Thus, the choice is yours. I don't know how people fail to see this.
  4. Apple and most companies are doing the same thing. I don't know why this is a problem. It's a marketing strategy, and not manipulative at all. The choice is yours. They provide the software, you decide if you are interested or not. Apple, Microsoft, Adobe, none of these companies are forcing anyone to use their products. If you believe their products are not worth your money, they can do nothing about that. They can't force you at all to invest. How people miss this, is utterly astounding.
  5. Those would look great in the Develop Persona as a color grade tab, like photoshop camera raw filter.
  6. In Affinity V1 large thumbnails meant, large thumbnails. Please bring back large thumbnails to Affinity V2. Thank you.
