  1. Hi! I am curious as well, but guessing the team is working on 2.0. Hope they add a similar tool to the shape builder seen in Illustrator and just now, Vectornator: https://www.vectornator.io/learn/shape-builder-tool#merge-mode And a couple of other neat features would be nice. Cheers, Tom
  2. Hi everyone. I had the same issue yesterday. Even repurchased the app (this time from Apple Mac Appstore) to see if it could resolve it, removed the old installation. Same issues. Crashed on export. Had to enable "rosetta" when opening the app to allow export. This threw me some memory issues (simple four pager) even tho I have a maxed out Macbook Pro Max 64GB of ram. Hope Affinity optimizes this for M1 so emulating in Rosetta is not needed (performance is quite different). EDIT: Started crashing on export on beta as well... Had to do "a rosetta" again. Cheers, Tom
  3. Hi guys! I know it states that it should not be used in production since it is a beta, but I was just wondering if we might encounter not being able to open a document made in the beta with the final release version. I am ok using a beta, but not if it sacrifices the ability to open documents at a later stage. Thanks for all the hard and good work so far. My colleague is having a struggle with the latest InDesign CC 2019 (rainbow wheel in OS X) working with larger documents (100-120 pages of a magazine). We can not wait to start using Publisher as it seems so much faster and ofcourse adds nicely to Designer and Photo. So my question is. Can we start using it? Cheers, Tom
  4. Hi guys! A quick post showing how we have adopted Affinity Photo into our daily production flow. We are so happy that we made the switch from Adobe a year ago. This request came yesterday from one of our clients: Integrate this door into a fresh interior setting. We had to create varius parts of the surrounding the door, shadowing, grading and increase parts of the image to fit this door. Thank you Affinity for making such a good image editing software. 5. Hi guys! Is it possible to use this in production? I see this warning that the file saved with this version might not open in the final release. Is that the case? If so then I would not use this on important work for now :) Good work, Cheers, Tom
  6. Hi! I just get this message: "Retail version required A purchased copy of Affinity Designer must be installed to use this beta." I am running latest versions of both Designer and Photo from the Mac Appstore. Affinity Photo beta opens nicely, but not this one... Ideas? Cheers, Tom
  7. Hi guys! On the road towards being Affinity only (no more Adobe) I have a question concerning deleting lines i Designer. Look at my attached Gif. Is this possible in the same way as I show here in Illustrator? Cheers from Norway, Tom
  8. Hi! Ahh cool, had to go up to the menubar where the "break curve" function was! :) Mission accomplished! :) Thank you very much for your quick respond! :) Tom
  9. Hi and thanks! I do not see the "break curve" function. See attached screenshot. Cheers, Tom
  10. Hi guys! We have started using Affinity Designer (as part of our move away from Adobe). However, I have one question. Where can I control to close a path? Or make a path open...? In Illustrator I could easily take an elipse shape and do this (see attached video). Any easy tip on how to do this in Designer? Thanks in advance! Cheers, Tom
