Most people have multiple platforms. For me, its a great deal as I have an iPad and Windows PC. If you don't like the pricing, don't buy it. I think this is a great deal.

This is one my side projects for 2022. I run a FaceBook group on the BOAC Speedbird aircraft and "The BOAC Speedbird Adverts" book which contains 133 rare adverts (B&W and colour) from 1940-1970. The adverts were cleaned up using Affinity Photo and the cover was put together with Affinity Designer and of course the book was put together using the Affinity Publisher.

People use to get offended for what they would (deep inside) love to do... :P

Perfect guidelines I'd say, fair both ways!
Thanks Matt.

We've had a query about what is viewed as 'acceptable' content, and what our stance on it is.
This topic is one which is typically fairly volatile because everyone is so different and what is acceptable for one person, can be shocking or inflammatory to another. We don't want everyone to feel cautious about what they click, just in case they are faced with something they'd rather not see, but we also don't want to discourage people from sharing the amazing work they've been creating, so... We think the simplest, clearest thing to do is:
If you think your image could in any way be described as controversial...
- Start a new topic with an appropriate title
- Upload your image to a sharing site (Flickr, Behance, Instagram, etc) - you can even use the 'Share' link in the app's File menu
- Write a proper description of your work in the body of your post and add a text link to the image you have shared
Now, if people think they'd be offended, they just don't have to click the link and they won't see it at all.
Thanks,
Matt

Plus, I figure that it's actually a way to get people to visit the artist's Behance/FlickR/Instagram page and maybe take a look around and see what else they like! :)

I love your software. I bought Photo and Designer.
Now you announced V2. I was excited. I expected to pay for each big version update. I understand that, but why did you increase it?!
You lump everyone together into the same group: "Here, have the entire software collection for just 200€!"
I do not own any apple device and I do not need a publishing app. So 4 pieces of that collection are worthless to me, yet I am still supposed to pay for them? No, thanks.
So what is my other option? Buy individual software. Yet you almost doubled the price from 55€ to 85€. So to buy 2 pieces of software in that collection, I have to spend 170€.
Yes I get that you offer discounts, but that changes nothing in this discussion.
The funny thing is that if you kept the previous pricing, it would still be worth to buy the universal license:
55*3 + 22*3 = 231€
85*3 + 24*3 = 327€
So:
Universal pricing: 200 €
Old pricing individual products: 231€
New pricing individual products: 327€
You're making less money with the universal license while screwing people who only bough a couple of your products and now need to spend more per product.
The features offered in V2 so far are currently not worth it. You give everyone a global discount, which makes everyone who bought the version 1, just feel that much saltier. We bought V1 to support the ambitious project that provides a good alternative to overpriced Adobe products and now you start with huge price increases and a middle finger to V1 owners. In the current state, I'm not going to buy the V2. Hope you at least add animation support. Even GIMP has animation support even though it's basic.

Eduardo M reacted to firstdefence in Linear Spirals - Made in Inkscape.
Keep getting rained off laying a brick path in my garden so thought I’d make a few spirals in Inkscape and import them into Affinity Designer, these are linear spirals and start at 1 turn up to 40 turns in 5 turn increments after 5 turns.

Eduardo M reacted to pbass in Copy a Node/Segment, or a Selection of Them
Love to be able to copy single nodes, line segments, or a selection of nodes – including the exact geometry of any curve handles – and then paste it/them into the front node an open curve.
With the option of pasting its mirror version – vertical, horizontal, or both.
It is very hard to manually make a curve exactly match another one.
Repeatability is crucial for precise work.
Snapping control handles (when they arrive) will sure help, but copy/paste of any of a curve's (or shape's) selected bits would be supremo!
You can easily copy an entire curve/shape, but not parts of one.
You can do the former, delete what you don't need, and then attach the bits you need; but that's a long way round.
I apologize if you've heard any or all of this before (and please correct me if any of this is already possible).
Oh, and as Sven Kalkschmidt already suggested, the functionality of the following Illustrator plugin looks amazingly useful:

Thanks for your attention, and keep up the awesome programming, Serif/Affinity!
