Every time I try to save a document as a pdf Publisher freezes and gives me the beachball

I have affinity publisher 2 and I spend a pdf which was done in Calibri. Sadly Publisher is not recognising the font although it is on my Mac. How do I fix this, it is a works file that I am editing so I can't use another font?
