  1. For all who are following this topic, the 2.2 version seems to have fixed the issue. I haven't tried all of the fonts that I have had issues with, but keeping my fingers crossed.
  2. @Hans Johnson it seems to work differently depending on the particular font that you use. On some fonts, aligning to center fixes the problem, but on others it does not. I do get different results using the same font when I change the stroke alignment, but generally none of them work correctly with the fonts I use most often. You can see on the attached screenshot that both the A and the ampersand have issues after expanding the stroke with center alignment, but only the A has issues when the stroke is aligned either to the inside or the outside. The stroke width also seems to have an impact. Using the same font at the same size, but increasing the stroke width from 2pts to 5pts, the issue disappears on both the A and the ampersand. The ampersand actually begins to appear correctly at a much lower stroke width...I believe it was 2.5pts.🤷‍♀️
  3. Still waiting...V2.1 is finally here and still no fix. This is bug #2 that I've had to live with and still have no resolution for. I dread checking on the others. Honestly, I haven't gotten anywhere near my money's worth after purchasing this suite since I'm constantly having to go back to V1 to complete my work. This lack of attention to known bugs is just at the point of unacceptable, IMHO.
  4. Well, here we are, more than five months later. The 2.1 update is now out and this problem has still not been addressed. It has become quite aggravating, seeing as the majority of my work requires me to keep V1 installed so that I can expand the stroke correctly (COPY - SWITCH TO V1 - PASTE - EXPAND - COPY - SWITCH TO V2 - PASTE - REPEAT AD NAUSEAM). Having shelled out for the entire suite, I really do want to like this product, but bug fixes seem to be taking a backseat to new features. This is the first bug that I've actually checked in 2.1, so I'm hoping that I won't be equally disappointed when I begin to check the other bugs I have encountered and endured throughout the life of V2.0.
  5. Just some interesting behavior I noticed while manipulating one of the points on the outside curve of the Contour layer. The contour around the center cutout suddenly pops up when moving the point to certain positions. ContourIssue.mov
  6. I'm having the same issue here...and it seems to be hit or miss as far as what fonts that it affects. The font used to create the curves in my screenshot is Adobe Caslon Pro 180pt with a 2pt stroke aligned to the outside.
  7. @loukashUnfortunately, if I don't increase the contour radius proportionally as I increase the object size, then the geometry of the baked object is different from what I need it to be. In other words, when I reduce the object size after baking, the curves don't match up. Maybe I don't understand the node snapping options as well as needed for me to use them efficiently in this situation. For now I think that I just need to copy everything over to v1 for this project and pray that this is something that is corrected soon in an update.
  8. @loukashYes, as I mentioned in my first post, I already tested it by copying to v1, so it is definitely confined to v2. Aside from not being able to find a solution in AD2, the perplexing thing is that the same contour settings are applied to the "I" within the same document, and it works properly. If it is a "math bug", the logic in my brain says that the issue would occur on all items with the same settings, but I'm a designer, not a coder, so what do I know! I also tested multiple contour radius settings and it occurs from -3.7 to -6.4px at the present object size. If I increase the object size, without changing the contour radius, at some point the contour shows up correctly. However, if I increase the object size and the contour radius proportionally, the issue persists. Thanks again for trying to help!!
  9. @loukashThanks so much for the reply, but I think that I'm just missing something. The hairline view doesn't change the way that anything shows up for me. 🤷‍♀️I can't find a missing curve though. I'm attaching what the center cutout portions of the Contour layers look like to me with the node tool active. On the left is the "I" showing the correct contour offset and the right is the "J" showing no offset in the center cutout where one should be. Could you be thinking that a curve is missing because the contour offset is not showing up on the center of the "J"? I apologize if I'm not understanding.
  10. As shown in the areas circled in the attached screenshot, I have two layers with the same contour settings but different results. The Contour layer in the "I" group shows the result I expected. The "J" is the problem. FWIW, if I change the Contour layer in the "J" group to have a -6.5px contour, it finally shows up. Also, if I copy/paste the "J" group into a document in AD1 the contour works as expected. I'm working on a MacBook Air M1 with macOS Monterey. Edit: I also get the contour to show up if I change it to -3.6px, so it's only the range of -3.7 to -6.4px that isn't working for me as expected. ContourIssue.afdesign
  11. Yes, unfortunately CS5 and CS6 were mixed bags of both 32 and 64-bit applications in the suites. Sorry I couldn't help!
  12. @PaoloT I am using this workaround to run Illustrator CS6 in Catalina. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251055813 I have a very limited need for CS6 anymore since Designer covers most of my needs, so if there are limitations like those described in the post for Photoshop I'm not aware of them.
