  1. Our camera club has a maximum size for JPegs for projection. This is true for all camera clubs I know of. For our club, the maximum size is 1920px wide and 1080px high. It is very rare for members to produce images with aspect ratios greater than 16 x 9 and so we give the advice of entering images with a height of 1080px. For less experienced members, this still seems to prove a challenge and so I would wish for a macro to change the height of an image to 1080px with the corresponding width automatically applied. Is this possible?
  2. I have had the same problem with Affinity Photo. Following the Auto Save rout you gave (But for Photo) I found the file but with Zero KB. This has happened a few times of late. I remember changing some of the Performance settings. Could this be the fault.
  3. Thanks for all the help and advice. Problem solved, I'll sharpen at 100% in future,
  4. I usually sharpen at about 20% to 40%, The sharpening looks as I expect. I now know that if I "Merge Down" and view as above, the sharpening appears to be removed. Following your reply, I looked again and if I look at the "Merged Down" image at above 50% the sharpening is revealed rising to full sharpness at 100%. I still don't understand why the "Before Unsharp Mask" is OK at 20% while the "Merged Down" image is not sharpened at 20%. No matter! I now know that the Final image is as sharp as I wish and can be sent on to Nik FX etc.
  5. If I create a photo using a number of layers and then add Unsharp Mask as a top layer, all is as expected with the photo sharpened. If I then "Merge Down" (Shift, Ctrl, Alt) the photo appears in the top layer again as expected BUT the sharpening has been removed! Is there a solution?
  6. I am not a computer programmer and have no interest in becoming one. I am a photographer who has been very satisfied with Affinity V1 and had no problems installing it some years back. I have now bought V2 and expected it to install and work just as V1. Affinity seems to have made a major error in selling a program that can not be called from "Fast Raw Viewer" and similar programs. I have advised all of my friends in various camera clubs that I go to, not to update until a fix has been made. Affinity, you should have realised this before you released V2. It's up to you to fix it, and soon as it's no use to me as it is.
