@rvst, this request is about the resampling method used to render the canvas. (when you pan and zoom, or when you work at a zoom level other than 100%)
It is about what you see in real-time on your canvas.
For the resampling method used during the export, you can resave your presets with your favorite settings. You don't have to wait for Serif to implement anything new. Just select a preset, tweak the export settings the way you like them, and resave with the same name.

Thank you! I appreciate it...

I want the checkbox back as well.
Color and opacity should never be the only way to differentiate between states. This is a fundamental rule when building accessible interfaces.
Many people have visual deficiencies or one form or another of color blindness.
A good state indicator uses different shapes to distinguish between different states. And the boring old checkbox is perfect for this. -
It's never a good idea to install a large number of fonts on your system.
I learned this the hard way a few years ago when I installed the entire Google Fonts library on my PC.The best way to deal with fonts is to use a dedicated font manager and toggle them ON and OFF as needed.
I currently use Fontbase to manage my fonts and I couldn't be happier. The performance is amazing, and I have full control over my library of fonts. -
There is an old thread in the V1 Archive about this, but with the launch of V2, it might not get the attention it deserves.
Right now, Affinity offers only Nearest Neighbor and Bilinear as quality options under Performance > View Quality.
While decent for basic use, they are terrible options for professional work where precision is essential.
I would like to see both Bicubic and Lanczos as new scaling options in a future Affinity update.
I would gladly sacrifice performance for better canvas fidelity.
I understand that in the past, Bilinear was chosen as a tradeoff between performance and precision, but technology has improved a lot over the last few years.
Powerful computers are everywhere now, and it's a shame that we still have Bilinear as our highest-quality option. -
Are there any updates about this?
We need higher-quality options in Affinity. Resampling everything on the canvas with Bilinear is terrible.
I would like to see both Bicubic and Lanczos as scaling options under Performance > View Quality.
I'm a little dissapointed V2 didn't get improvements in this area. -
I am very happy to hear a normal installer will be made available.
Thank you for listening!

Feature request to improve studio panels on desktop
in Feedback for the Affinity V2 Suite of Products

I also vote for this feature request.
I wanted this for a very long time and it was one of my most desired interface upgrades for V2. (which unfortunately wasn't implemented)
I think the option to customize the interface with flyout panels would be a big upgrade in terms of usability and customizability, especially on smaller screens.
I work primarily on a laptop and using only 1 column of panels feels restrictive. (I know we can be display them in multiple columns side by side, but than we loose a third of the screen)
