  1. I don't think word or other processors can output to cmyk though, that could prove to be an issue with black text in the table.
  2. that is odd. I have the a bunch of page setup settings (assuming that is what you mean by templates). Here is a screenshot showing what to select.
  3. For the booklet, A5 12 page, it was easy to setup on my ipad 9. Page numbers worked fine also. I use indesign on a daily basis, but affinity publisher is starting to grow on me. When you open publisher select "New" on the left menu bar, there you will see the A5 Doc size (it is under print). Off to the right will be your page setup options, a few lines down under "Facing Pages" you will see the number of pages. To setup your page numbering, is it just not working at all? Did you use a master page for your numbering?
  4. They are flattened psd files, so can't convert them to curves. I noticed it with Tiff files also. When I reopened the publisher doc this time, they were there, but now a different page shows them blank. Very frustrating. This has to be a bug for sure. When I click on the file name in the resource manager nothing happens, when I click replace I get a negative dpi. I have to manually go in, delete the picture frame, and redo it. The only thing on my end is that I use dropbox, but none of my other programs have a problem with it, including indesign. So far, every file I have created with publisher is doing fine, it is just this one that is giving me a headache.
  5. here is the resource manager. the 5th one down is one of the links that keeps messing up. It doesn't show a thumbnail
  6. here is a sample. There should be another image on the left (you can see it in navigator panel). It is random on which page of images gets missing images issues.
  7. Windows, V2, images are on the same drive, internal dropbox folder.
  8. When working on a 20 page doc., I have about 4 pages with photos on them. All is good when I link them and make a pdf, and it looks ok. After saving, when I go to reopen the publisher doc, the images are no longer there and I have to relink them, the picture boxes are there, just not the image. Resource manager isn't spitting out errors either and shows them linked. The images themselves are in the links folder of the packaged file. Trying to figure out what I am doing wrong, I am coming from indesign so this is really odd.
  9. Yes this is V2. You may have to select: Window-Text-Character to bring up that box.
  10. In your character panel (see screenshot), that white looking box is a very light grey, just change the values of that box. I just tried it and it worked.
  11. Reading the forums I see that tables continued across multiple pages can not be done with publisher. The only work around I see is to create a master page with a table, then on each page have text box overlaying the table and autoflow the text with the text box. Is this the only way to do this? With indesign it is super easy to autoflow the tables themselves. I am just looking for a workaround a bit more streamlined.
  12. I just had a similar problem, and this really helped find my problem. I was pulling my hair out trying to find it.. Thank you.
  13. I work as a freelance designer for a large direct mail company. I have used exclusively indesign for the past 12 years. I really enjoy publisher (more than indesign), but I am running into a pdf export issue. The company wants us to use a specific profile for exporting pdfs that they created, if we use any other pdf format it will fail their preflight/submission. I would like to create a pdf export based off theirs. Is there anyway to use their profile, or how to read it correctly to change affinitys to match? I can view the profile in indesign and also notepad, but some of the settings are not listed for the affinity side of it.
