  1. I've had more time to play with this - it seems that if I use the vector brush, then use another tool (like the selection tool to move something) then when I switch personas, the pencil is again the default. I know it's a small gripe Here's the steps to replicate: In vector persona, click the pencil tool, then click a second time to select the vector brush tool. Select a brush from the brush panel, and draw a line. Use the selection tool to move the item on the page Switch to the pixel persona, select the pixel brush and a brush from the panel. Do some drawing on a pixel layer. Switch back to the vector persona, and the brush tool is once again ‘hidden’ behind the pencil tool. My issue is that you've hidden my most-used tool behind my least-used tool as a default. BUT I realize that this is not a bug. I'll go make a new post in the feature requests forum. Many thanks!
  2. Affinity Designer for iPad, 2.02 on iOS16 Steps to replicate: In vector persona, click the pencil tool, then click a second time to select the vector brush tool. Select a brush from the brush panel, and draw a line. Switch to the pixel persona, select the pixel brush and a brush from the panel. Do some more drawing. Go back to the vector persona, and the brush tool is once again ‘hidden’ behind the pencil tool. The brushes panel has reset as well. Result: I have to keep re-configuring my brushes from scratch every time I jump between personas. Even if I have saved brushes in the brushes panel, it keeps going back to “Oils’ or some other list of brushes that I wasn’t even using. Request: that the app does better to ‘remember’ some of these settings in order to streamline one’s workflow. I don’t want to have to keep re-selecting the tools I use the most. Thanks! ps. Posting this as a bug, rather than a feature request because the previous version seemed to remember them, and the new Publisher for iPad seems to ‘remember’ the tools as well. I hardly ever use the pencil tool, (admittedly, I know that’s not true for everyone) so it’s frustrating that it keeps coming back as the ‘default’.
  3. This seems to be the same/similar functionality as the 1.x version. I had hoped that this version might make it better, but I suspect the developers are trying to work around Apple's restrictive 'walled garden' file system. For example, I now have two affinity designer folders on my iPad, a new one 'spawned' for the new app, whereas all my previous files are in the previous folder that was associated with V1. Looks like we will have to keep manually moving and renaming files outside the app. The new 'M' indicator should be helpful, though- it shows when a file in the live docs has been modified but not saved.
  4. update (edit): Sorry! I see someone has already reported this. Running on iPad Pro iOS 16 - 11 inch display Using the paintbrush or erase tool in pixel persona, (iPad in landscape orientation) the three sliders for brush size, hardness, and opacity run off the top and bottom of the screen. You can’t fully utilize them, and they cover other buttons in the bar at the top. if you turn the iPad to portrait mode, they easily fit on screen. But I’m often working with a keyboard, so switching to portrait is problematic. Can these be resized to dynamically fit the screen?
  5. You have to swipe left on the thumbnail in the live docs screen, and this ‘reveals’ three buttons: rename, duplicate and save. While perhaps not technically a bug, it’s not intuitive at all.
  6. Publisher for IPad. Running iOS 16.1 When I create a new paragraph or character style and give it a unique name in the submenu - when I press OK it reverts back to the default name (like Heading 3). When I edit an existing style and change the name, when I press ok it reverts back to the default name. I have tried two new documents to see if the original document was corrupted but it’s still doing the same thing. I have restarted the app by force-quit, but it still does it after restarting. See screenshot for the location that I’m trying to edit the name. Note: If I create a new style from the main text panel, the new name sticks.
